Zoo MedRepticare Day Night Timer

Have these for my Kingsnake and Crested Gecko's UV lights. Easy enough to set up and works quite well.

These timer outlets are set up on each of my lizards enclosures! I have two leopard geckos and a bearded dragon, turning on/off their lights and heating pads used to be chaos! I would always forget, but not anymore these outlets are the best!

I recommend this wholeheartedly! Take your time setting it up because it is slightly confusing. That is my only critique. This is a life saver for your reptiles and amphibians because you don't have to worry about turning their light and heat lamp off and on. Bottom line-- get this!! It is definitely worth the price.

First one didn't work, had to return it.Second one worked, and it does what I want: goes from one output to another at specified times, and takes up minimal space.

I bought this because I work late shifts, sleep in, and go out of town, so often times I can't turn on my leopard gecko's heat lamp when I need too. I needed something simple that would work while I was away. I got this right before I headed to work and was excited to test it out. I followed the instructions and set it up with the time I wanted and the time of day, and headed to work. I was hopeful after reading so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, when I came home hours after the heat lamp was meant to be off, it was still burning away and I've noticed it taking a toll on my leo. I'm so disappointed, I had such high hopes that this would be my savior during those late night shifts, but I'm back to square one.

Highly recommended helps out when you're a busy person and as well as to keep a good routine going!

Timer has separate night and day outlets, which is very nice. Time is set by rotating a 24 hr dial which has pins around the outer perimeter. For night operation one has to raise the pins around the perimeter (1/2 hour per pin). The pins that are down turn the night outlet off. A little lever inside (it's nice that the cover is transparent enough to let you see inside) rides over the pins to detect if they are raised or lowered. The flaw is that after a couple of rotations (days) pressure from the sensing lever pushes some of the pins up just enough to cause the timer to turn on during the day. I guess they could call this a "self-programming feature"! But that's not what most people want! So why give it a 3-star? Since I'm only using the timer for one application (with fixed on-off times every night), I put glue over all the pins that I want to stay down. Now it works reliably. For me, anyway. But if you need to change the programming every now and then, this timer is not for you. Other than that, the timer seems sturdy enough. It's made in China. Not clear if this is a quality control problem or a design problem.

Fast shipping, nice packaging.The timer itself is working great. I use it for my veiled chameleon. I have my 2 day lamps on an extension cord plugged into "day". Had it for a while and so far it's been working pretty well.Some reviews are saying the timer is noisy, but mine is not making any sound. It is in my bedroom so I can tell.It took me some time to figure out you have to PULL on the black tabs.Great timer otherwise.

This product was for our snake. It works really well.

I love it a lot ! But it was my first timer and there was no instructions whatsoever in the box... I had to go watch a video on YouTube, Zoo Med’s is easier to understant.
