Improved the ease of opening the rear door 200%. Love the look and operation of the hinges.

Very well made, made out of good heavy steel. Easy to install.

Overall I thought these were a great replacement to the stock hinges. The only downfall I think is the cheap bolt for the swing arm itself. I don't see it lasting, but it's also a very easy thing to replace with stainless.

They installed easy enough, but as others pointed out, the hardware is junk. Less than a week and they had turned to rust. Looks horrible. Otherwise I would recommend. They don't look bad and hold my tailgate so far. Can't say they would be any stronger than a stock set, so don't think this is going to help you with mounting a larger spare. Purely a cosmetic change.

The body of the hinge is great, finish looks good. My only complaint, the hardware used for the hinge pivot point is already rusting after a few short weeks... Please find and use a better quality bolt kit. Thanks.EDIT: updated review...I was contacted by V8 God, who stated they were actively searching for a different bolt manufacturer, and offered compensation for my issues. Did not expect that. It seems solid but one bracket had some paint scratches which will probably lead to rust in the near future.Another MAJOR issue is the bracket is slightly smaller than OEM brackets on my 2003 Jeep TJ so you can see the non painted area of the jeep. Makes it look bad and kind of disappointed.

Looks good installed on the vehicle. The Allen head bolts need to be hardened steel though. 1 stripped out, luckily it is on really tight.

The hardware is already rusted. And they bend with a 32 inch tire on them
