I purchased this for my brother, who was hit by a drunk driver when he was on his motorcycle. His pelvis was crushed & her had to learn to walk again. I needed a strong, sturdy bar that he could hold on to while climbing into my shower. This is very simple to install, no tools required. It is quite heavy so it can support a grown man (I believe the instructions said it can support up to 300 lbs.) It has non-slip pads on each side of the clamps that are secured to the sill of the tub so it won't slide & it won't scratch or damage the tub. All you have to do to secure it in place is turn the knob & if you need to move it you just loosen the knob & move it along there sill of the tub. Reasonable price, exceptional quality. I will keep this on my tub even after my brother no longer needs it because it really helps assist us getting into & out of the tub safely. I highly recommend this bath bar!

Probably works best if you have bathtub walls that are fairly flat and vertical with a straight flat top. I do, so it works well for me. Very solid and reassuring to have this handle to rely on when entering and leaving the tub.

This device does the job, in assisting me to get in and out of the bathtub, and also assist me in lifting myself from the bath. It is easy to install, and has a good appearance. I do suggest that for the installation, the last couple of terms of the. Knob that fixes the device to the bathtub, should be done by someone with a firm, grip and strength, so that it will be firmly in place. From time to time the device should be checked for tightness, so as to avoid eventual slippage. I fully recommend this product for the additional security that it provides.
