Very happy with these as medium-duty work gloves
Just to clarify, I chose these gloves to leave in my pickup truck door pocket as general utility gloves for tasks like off-road recovery, shovel use, firewood cutting and gathering, mechanic work, etc. Heavy leather work gloves don't allow as much hand dexterity as I wanted. Fitment was exactly as stated. I measured my hand width and cross-referenced that to their graph and picked my size (XL). When they arrived, I immediately tried them on and they are a perfect fit even though I have thick hands. They are soft enough to not require a break-in period, too. The palm material is soft and has some extra padding in key areas but feels durable enough to protect well for my needs. The stitching wasn't frayed and didn't look hurried. The backside material is flexible enough to allow a comfortable fist, and the rubber hand protection is in the right places to be effective without being rigid and restrictive. These are great medium duty work gloves. Time will test their longevity, but at this price, I would happily replace them if they last even a year. I may get another pair for around the house, too.

Great Glove for the price and very durable in rescue operations.
Bought several pairs due to the reviews. I am not disappointed with the purchase. Comfortable, flexible, just the right amount of protection with out interfering with dexterity. Nice bright colors so you can find easily. Have used frequently for our rescue operation and no issues. Gloves are very light weight and the sizing is comparable to other brands of the same size. Ordered several sizes for our team and they all like the quality of the gloves, especially for the price. Have used around sharp broken glass and I am not worried about getting cut through the glass. All pros for review and can't think of any cons right now. Highly Recommend.

The Good, Bad & Ugly.
The Good: 1. Comfortable fit right out of the box, no break in needed. 2. High visibility, is even reflective at night and can be spotted easily if you drop it in the grass or something. 3. The rubber shielding on the back of your hand does give you pretty good blow protection, I had a tree limb strike my hand while wearing these, it really made a difference. Plus I didn't have a problem with the rubber peeling away which surprised me as other brands I've had did that pretty quickly. 4. The stitching held up quite well, even in wet conditions. The Bad: 1. Dexterity on your fingertips is not the best. I'd say moderate, not horrible, but could be better. I work as a tree climber at my regular job and have a mobile mechanic business on the side. Being able to grasp small nuts and bolts is standard work for me and these gloves are likely to have to come off for delicate work. That said they are decent enough that I climb with them on and almost never take them off while climbing. 2. The velcro straps got full of sawdust in no time and were basically just there to annoy me after a week or two. The Ugly: 1. I've owned two pairs of these now, both failed in the same place after almost the exact same period of use. I got 24 and 25 working days out of them exactly before the leather on the interior gripping part of the fingers wore through. I have had gloves last twice as long for half the price, so take everything in consideration. Final analysis: If you need gloves that stand up to rough trades like logging, landscaping, etc with a long life span, these will not cut it. If you're on a tight budget, these can be easily out-competed. But if you like the high visibility and the protective aspects, and especially if you do less intense work then I do, I would indeed recommend them as a decent glove that definitely has a usefulness all to itself. The ease at which they can be found if dropped at night was especially cool, they reflect like reflector tape. The neon colors make them easy to spot during the day too of course. And the heavy-duty rubber backing works, it really might save you some pain. I had originally purchased them so my fingers would be very visible to me while using a chain saw in a tree. These gloves did that job 100% better then any others I've used yet, I just wish they stood up to punishment a little better.

VERY durable! Abrasion and puncture resistant
I'm a soda company merchandiser and I pick up thousands of bottles, by the neck, every week. The plastic caps WILL cut up your fingers, and most gloves after repetitive usage. Gloves usually last about 2 months, before there's holes in the fingers and I'm back to the second sentence of this review. (The included pictures are after daily usage of a little over 2 months, when all other gloves had holes in the fingers and were actually turned into finger-less gloves. These are not finger-less gloves, as shown in the pictures.) I specifically looked at gloves that were abrasion and puncture resistant, after finding out my other gloves were not in any way resistant to sharp-ish objects. The Ironclad EXO Motor Impact Glove are AMAZING. It's been a little over 2 months, with much more usage because of the recent holidays, and there are no holes in the fingers. The stitching is still intact. The gloves still protect my fingers, very well. The ONLY damage to the gloves has been where the terry cloth sweat wipe ripped. I believe it got caught on a piece of steel shelving and ripped. The other glove shows separation between the terry cloth sweat wipe and the thumb portion. That glove is the one that I use the sweat wipe on my forehead. Other things I love about these gloves is the velcro closure that closes at the top of the wrist, instead of the bottom, and the impact resistant rubber on the top of the hand. It's great for when I'm shoulder deep in a shelf, trying to pull something out and accidentally slam my hand into a 24 pack of cans or the steel shelving support beam. (Some major grocery store chains have steel shelving that is 4 feet deep, and it can be a pain fronting product.) The only potential negative, and it's not a negative for me most of the time, is that they are in no way touchscreen compatible. I think they are too thick for a touchscreen to detect that you're mashing the screen with a finger, as I've had non-touchscreen compatible gloves that were thinner work with touchscreens. They are not water resistant, as far as I can tell. Overall, I'd HIGHLY recommend these gloves if you're finding that you have to buy new gloves more often than new socks. (Or anything else that you buy regularly. I go through a lot of socks, too.)

Nice Design. Not so great fit and comfort.
These gloves are really just pretty ok. I mean they are cool looking, which is why I am keeping them. But look aside, they don't stack up well against the competition, in this case Mechanix for fit or comfort. I wanted to love these gloves because they look cool, and the HVIS version is also great looking. Fit - It is a little inconsistent throughout for me. Some of the fingers are at the tips of the glove while fingers are not. The sewing is this in the fingertip and puts more pressure on the fingernail area. The topside of the inside is uncomfortable (rough and scratchy). Now, these levels of discomfort are not total deal breakers in this glove. In the HVIS version of the same side, the fit is jacked. Its cut too small and even more uncomfortable in teams of the rough and scratchy. These fitting issues are not at all present in the Mechanix at all. They are super smooth, fit great throughout, and the fingertip material is not as obnoxious as these gloves. Again. These are better than the HVIS, but still not super comfortable. If it weren't for the design, these would get a 1 or 2 star because of the comfort, or lack thereof. Also, they don't feel as flexible as the Mechanix. Protection - It seems adequate. Doesn't seem to be any more or less than Mechanix MPact. It does have equal protection on all fingers, which the Mechanix does not. Banging into walls and stuff on purpose did not reveal any pain or really feeling at all. Its worth noting that the same tests with Mechanix resulted in the same level of protection, so there was no discernable different in practical application for ME. Design - You can all see it, its top notch. Its not as obnoxious as the Mechanix with the constant repeating of the name Mechanix. I mean, there really isn't much to say. They look just like they do in the picture if not better. Same with the HVIS. Will be sending the HVIS back due to their poor fit and general lack of comfort. Value - I guess its good, haven't really bought too many padded work gloves. These seem like they may hold up better than the Mechanix, but then again, they aren't as flexible, and don't fit as well, which may result in unexpected wear.

Very good yard work gloves - UPDATE
UPDATE 5/24 I've had these gloves for 3 years now, and they've held up admirably - from Spring to Fall I wear them about twice a week, for a few hours, doing chores around the house - mowing, hedge trimming, weed whacking... When using tools with excessive vibration, these gloves really help dampen those vibes. There's no sign yet of any holes in the palms or fingers, stitching is still solid. I did get used to them being a little big on my hands, and they don't make my hands sweat excessively. They have gone up a few bucks since I bought them, but assuming the quality is the same, they are still fairly priced. For this reason, I've upped my rating. :) Original review below: I bought these primarily to help cut down on the effects from yard tool vibration, like line and hedge trimmers. The extra pads on the palm do indeed help to dampen the tool vibration, though they of course don't eliminate it. The insides are comfortable, and the stitching looks like these gloves will hold up for a while. Note that there is just a small band of breathable mesh on the backsides of these gloves - in extremely hot, humid weather you may feel the need to take them off from time to time. Based on the posted sizing chart (the width of your palm), I was just tipping into "Large" territory, so that's the size I got - next time I'd probably get the medium size of this brand, because the large are just a skosh roomy for me. Would buy again. :)
