Kia Washer JetsBought these to replace the ones on my 2009 Kia Sportage.To remove the existing jets, firstly I had to remove the bonnet sound proofing which required a trim removal tool to extract the grommets. Some were damaged in this process, but fortunately I had some similar sized ones that I used when re-installing the sound proofing liner.I disconnected the short length of tubing to the existing nozzles. Small cable straps are required when reassembling.A torch and long flat bladed screwdriver is required to depress the tab on the existing nozzle which is accessed through an opening in the bonnet framework.From the topside of the bonnet, extracting the existing nozzle was a case of a little bit of jiggling and leverage. I had previously taped off the bonnet around the nozzle so as to protect the paintwork. Using a small piece of flat metal and the trim tool managed to get them out.As the replacements does not include the foam/rubber washer that goes between the nozzle and bonnet, you need to try and not damage the existing ones.After reassembly you need to adjust the direction of the jets using a pin or similar.From the web I downloaded a diagram showing the positions of the 3 jets per nozzle.Using cardboard from a flattened box, drew it out and propped it inside the car to allow accurate placing of the water jet on the windscreen.
