Superlative quality! You all know the songs; there are over a dozen beauties on this CD. The revelation however is about the quality of this particular CD, as some other Big O CDs have as many great songs.Well, I can't believe the difference between this and my standard Big O CDs eg. the Rhino release "For The Lonely". I always thought that was good quality. Now I can directly compare. Wow! This one is way better. All these years buying "normal" CDs without realising what a huge quality difference there can be in different CDs.The sound on this gold disc is richer, deeper, louder - yet softer around the edges (that analogue feel) - while having far better clarity than on standard Roy Orbison CDs that I have. Vocals are more pure, especially when played loud. And classics like "Crying" and "Running Scared" deserve to be heard near their best!It's as simple as this: once you hear this, you're expectations of a CD are likely to change forever. The value for money equation is overwhelming. Instead of once regarding these high quality (usually gold) discs as being only for special albums I now make this quality as my buying objective and only buy "normal" CDs when these high quality CDs are not available - and then very reluctantly. Cut down on something else! You have your music for ever :-)As my son pointed out, for ~$30 we got a quality improvement that would take thousands of $ in hifi upgrade to achieve. I'm now on a mission to upgrade as much of my CD collection as I can.

Fun to visit the oldies.

This is subjective, of course, but this CD has 4 very good songs: Blue Bayou, Only the Lonely, Oh Pretty Woman and Crying. The rest are just okay. Being a CD, one can skip over them, if one wants.

Love Orbison’s music.

We have worn out two copies of this very same CD over the past 20 years but like it whenever we travel so when our last one started skipping, we searched for another. This company advertised it as in excellent condition so we order it. When it arrived, we played it and found it to be "excellent quality". We are very pleased with it and inspected it carefully. There were no visible scratches or defects in the CD so hopefully it will last 10 or more years as each of others did. I

I purchased this double vinyl album by the one and only Roy Orbison to replace one my wife purchased back in the sixties we got rid of all our vinyl collection when our stereo system broke.I was really pleased when i found this on your site this is a brilliant double album.Roy Orbison had one of the best voices in rock.n.roll it's said when Roy offered Elvis the song(only the lonely)Elvis encouraged Roy to record it himself and the rest is history .it's said Elvis was heard to say I wish I had a voice like that high praise from the king indeed .Roy went on to enjoy a glittering career as a solo artist and later as part of super group the travelling Wilburys until his untimely death I had the privilege of seeing him twice once in the early sixties and later on when he moved to this country he was a very good artist live sadly missed but not forgotten R.i.P Roy

Classic. Easy listening. Bought one for myself then another for my parents.
