The Collected Toppi vol.5: The Eastern Path (Collected Toppi, 5)

This is one of the best in the series. They are all drawn beautifully. The art work alone is absolutely stunning. Page after page one has to smile at the master of composition. Admittedly the stories are usually secondary but not here. The marriage of art and story is wonderful to behold and an inspiration to any artist to lift their level of play.

Good book. Collecting this series. The quality of the publication is high.

Another stellar collection of Toppi art and stories, yet keep in mind the pages count is significantly less than previous volumes #1-4. Volume 5, The Eastern Path weighs in at a slim 124 pages. It's fine, but the cover price should be less. Buyer beware!

Artwork is excellent as always, but I fear the story translation, or perhaps the original text is somewhat, “meh...”It’s like saying you’re buying a Ferrari for picking up building materials to value the writing over the art on this type of item. He was and remains a great illustrator.There are other better volumes. I have all of them. But this is by no means the worst.

More of the same brilliant! Some striking pages in this one.

Another book with amazing creations by Toppi. A must if you have an eye for jewels of drawing and story telling.
