Quality construction, good fit
These appear to be well-made & durable, though I've only used them for a short time. If I were redesigning these, I would make 2 changes: 1. The fingerlets are too short. Maybe my fingers are longer than others, but the leather doesn't reach the crease of the first knuckle. When doing pulling/grasping moves (chin-up, row), the leather folds under so I'm constantly picking the leather up to lay flat. The fingers should extend about midway past the first knuckle to prevent this. I bought the large size - maybe XL would provide more coverage? 2. There is no padding in the heel of the thumb. The rest of the palm is nicely padded, so I'm not sure why it doesn't extend across the thumb. When I do a 'pushing' move (press), I don't wrap my thumb around the bar so the weight is spread across my entire palm. True that the thinner leather in this area provides more flexibility, but maybe this could have been achieved with a crease between the palm & thumb. Overall this will probably be my glove for biking. Using them for lifting however, these 2 areas leave me wanting.

RIMSports Weightlifting Gloves used with Wheelchair
Background on Usage: After having a serious breakage of the bones in one foot I was prescribed a wheelchair (rental) and told that I should not place any weight upon it for 6-8 weeks after surgery. That gave me three days to practice with the wheelchair and I have been reliant on it for the week I have been out of the surgery so far. My body was in no shape for this sudden change and having to lift myself up constantly using the palms of my hands as a bearing surface was putting me in a lot of pain. I knew that on TV and whatever I have seen persons who are in a wheelchair either long term or permanently usually wear these leather like gloves that have end half of the fingers. I went on Amazon (where else?) and entered “Wheelchair Gloves” which gave me several options that all seemed to be referred to as Exercise Gloves. I selected this product for the overall appearance that seemed to make them functional for my planned usage without being overly bulky as some options appeared to be. They also had some nice styling touches and a good selection of colors, a girl does like to stay attractive even under these circumstances. The Purchase: The purchase was for a single pair with Pink trim in size XL and I paid extra for overnight Saturday delivery. I had been using the wheelchair for a week at that time and my palms and wrists were getting really sore to the point I was desperate for some help. The gloves fit well straight out of the box and within a couple of days I felt they were well broken in. With that break-in they became more flexible and were easier to get on and off which is a consideration in my usage. They have to come off in the bathroom of course, they will stay cleaner if they are off when I am eating and they are not really great to wear when working on the laptop. None of those instances is what I have them for so that is fine with me. I love them and have already ordered a second pair in Purple so I think that is about as good an endorsement as I could give a product. Usage and Positive Comment: As already stated I made the initial purchase to help protect my hands from what was becoming an increasingly painful experience with the wheelchair. These gloves have a nicely padded palm area with a covering of some form of leather. That also gives the area some reinforcement so that loads feel spread out a little bit from what I was used to. A lot of the loading was from lifting myself up vertically on the front part of the wheelchair side rail which is dropped down and just bare metal tubing. Further back it is a padded armrest but I do not lift up from there as much. Another concern is when I had to pivot towards the left or right while holding myself up on my palms and that is where the material that reinforces the palms can slide over the metal surfaces better than bare skin was. The biggest problem I have been face with is to remember to put the gloves back on before I get into of the wheel chair. My best system for remembering was to lay them on the corner of the chair so I would see them and get that reminder. I did forget to put them on a couple of times (waking up and heading for the bathroom) and it always reminded me of why I like these gloves so much. A good feature that I became aware of is that the gloves are put together in such a way that the normal resting position for your hand is slightly bent into a grip rather than a fully spread open hand. That increases comfort and makes it easier to grab onto the safety bars in the bathroom. I might point out that I am living in a very nice motel with a wheelchair accessible room; there was no way to go home given the small sizes of the hall, doorways and bathroom. It is expensive but the only way I can get through this. Usage and Negative Comment: There is very little I can say about the product that is anything but positive, I like the product and it is working out so well I purchased a second pair in a different color. So I can say that there is a less then great aspect to the Velcro strap that secures the base of the glove to snug it up for retention. That strap is a molded/formed piece of firm rubber with the loop side of the Velcro on its backside. All of that is fine and it makes it easy to manipulate the strap. The problem is that the inner edge is at full thickness and a straight cut across. With that arrangement if the band is not snugged up enough to get it all overlapped with the hook portion on the glove back itself then you have that raised up edge pushing against your hand. I came up with an easy fix, I just took a small pair of sissors that were very sharp and cut away the extra rubber strap. I wet all the way back to the Velcro and tried to make it an angled cut to increase the comfort. Initially I had thought that some sanding boards I have for my manicure could take off the extra but it turned out to be ineffective, the material is just too abrasion resistant. I was in touch with the manufacturer on the issue and they were as helpful as they could be. Having devised a suitable fix on my own they said that they would take it up with the production department to see if it could be incorporated, in some way, to their own processing. Below are the Before and After pictures of the fix and when the new pair arrives I will perform the same modification. In the pictures the problem area is inside the Red oval with the “As Purchased” and “As Modified”. The upper surface of the glove that has the hook side of the Velcro has been folded under so that it would be kept out of the way in the picture. You can see that it has a squared off edge initially and an approximation of a 45° angle afterwards.

Comfortable Out of the Box
I wore these right out of the bag, and unlike what some other reviewers (or question answerers) mentioned, I didn't feel the need to wash them first. Regardless of not washing them, they were still super comfortable. I benched with them for like 20 minutes and never noticed I was even wearing anything. I wasn't sweating really hard or anything so I can't say if they are "breathable," sorry. But I also ran to and from the gym (total of 1.6 miles) with them on and it felt great. They look pretty cool too. Also FYI my knuckles (the ones closest to my wrist) measure exactly three inches apart and I ordered a Medium and they fit perfectly - not tight at all, not in a single bit. Not loose either. Also, just looking at the bag to check what size I ordered and noticed they included a key chain, picture attached. So if a keychain floats your bat, bonus for you! Thanks! *** This is an update to my review above: I've had these for roughly ten months and they have been very nice to use. Just wanted to add one negative. The velcro part closest to the glove is starting to peel from the glove (see last couple of picture attached). It's normal wear and tear, I guess, but I've only washed them once. I've used these at a max once a week since I've gotten them, and they are already starting to wear. They still work fine and don't feel loose because of this, so it's not really a problem for me, just thought I should share this, because who knows how long before an essential part of the glove begins to wear? Hopefully they last a full year.

Glad I read the reviews about sizing and great gloves!
First, I want to thank the other product reviewers for their feedback. I was agonizing over which gloves to buy and what size. My wrists are small, and I have a thin bone structure, but the measurement put me at size *medium* (3 inches across knuckles). The reviewers mentioned these ran large. So, I ordered a *small* and so glad I did! Size small is a perfect fit for me and very comfortable. Not to tight around the fingers or gaping across the back of the hand. There is a little "pooch" at the velcro, but pretty sure this will flatten with use. I didn't give any stars for a "breathable" rating because I haven't sweat in them yet, but I don't anticipate an issue. These gloves are a step up from the last pair I purchased at Target - I shouldn't have waited so long to order. :-)

Good enough
I tore through these pretty quickly. I bought a more durable pair from another company. They did their job but needed something a little more strong.

Perfect for a Wheelchair!
I use a chair full time except for in my home. I’m a disabled athlete and needed gloves that would handle serious damage in the Floridian heat. My hands are tough now that I’ve been using a chair for about three and a half years now, but they blister and get hurt when at a theme park or even my volunteer runs at the zoo. My hands are my feet and need protection. I had a short, trial sponsorship with Moose Racing and those gloves only held up for a year; began to show serious signs of wear on the palm and thumbs. I searched and researched trying to find gloves that would allow me to use my fingers but have full protection at the same time and settled with RIMSports! Immediately ensured that they were a perfect fit and put them to the test with just a simple grocery run. My hands weren’t covered in dirt, as they always are, after and the gloves protected my hands very well without getting in the way or annoying me. The padding is in all the right places for someone in a wheelchair and I look forward to going to the skatepark with these, too! (Search up WCMX!)

Good Purchase, satified.
Pros: Great fit using the size guide, the strap position across the wrist is perfect don't interfere with my smart watch, easy off at the end of my workout. Cons: I have not had the product long enough to determine the durability. I was looking for a pair of workout gloves that fit well, and the strap did not interfere with my smart watch. Other gloves I have purchased when I bend my wrist activates my smart watch, hits pause, changes lap times. I have only used the gloves once since I received them, by the way the item was received fast and as described, and they were not stiff, great palm pad and comfortable. I would conclude that I made a very good purchase, the price was acceptable, the gloves are comfortable, they stay tight on my hand, and so far have preformed very well.

Lasted 3 months before dying.
Had to update and downgrade to a single star. After 3 months of moderate use, they have completely disintegrated. The seems between the thumb and index finger pulled open, which would be great if I had a 6th finger. But with a normal hand, it rendered the gloves unusable. I did not abuse these gloves. I hand washed once (which caused them to bleed terribly), but other than that, they were taken care of. This is one of the poorest quality products I've ever used. Waste of money and time. --- original review I've purchased these to use for my daily workouts. I lift 4 days a week, at moderate weights. At the end of the workout, I gently take them off and put them in a compartment in my workout bag. In other words, I treat them gently and don't abuse them. So I am very disappointed that these have begun to fall apart after 2 weeks. Pros: Lots of padding Looks nice. Don't stink like other gloves I've used. Cons: Fit is weird. I was either a S or M on the chart. I went with a small because every glove I've ever owned is small. The thumb and the palm are very roomy, glad I didn't go to the medium. But the fingers are snug. My fingers are very slender (I wear a size 5.5 ring for reference). I'm not sure how you can make a glove that is tight on thin fingers, but loose on the rest of the hand (including the thumb) Quality is bad. I've worn these for 9 total workouts. The mesh on pinky on the right hand is pulling away from the leather. Padding is coming out on the palm on the right. Stitching is pulling on the left thumb. I would expect this kind of wear and tear over 6 months, not 2 weeks. These are not going to last.
