ESISuper Cap Seal XL 23ft (2 1/8" W x 1/2" H) and Ultimate Tailgate Seal Combo Pack

Replaced the bottom seal on my 8-foot 15-year-old Leer Truck Cap purchased used. Removed the old seal which was stapled and glued, squashed and hard and cleaned the cap surface with scraper, sandpaper, acetone and alcohol. The super cap seal glue tape stuck to the cap even without flipping the cap on its back. I caulked the edges with Gardner Neoprene Flashing Cement. One tube did a caulk bead all along the inside and outside of the seal and plugged the ends and filled the corners. Plan to spay the truck rails with silicone and treat the EPDM Cap Seal with 303 Aerospace Protectant. Hope this will make it last a long time and keep the seal attached to the cap for many installations and removals on and off the pickup.

Had my topper off for three years...the gray foam tape had disintegrated. Had to use "Carb Cleaner" to get glue residue off the box "caps" (stainless steel). I have installed these products instead and am very impressied with the quality of their extrusion products! I should be able to remove and re-install topper (if necessary without any of the tedious cleanup I just went through!! Would also recommend their tailgate kit. Have it on my other pickup with topper, and travel a LOT of gravel roads. Virtually NO dust gets in to the pickup box thanks to that tailgate kit!

Wrong part for my vehicle. Did not try to install till after return date, so I am a loser.

The Super Cap Seal XL keeps moisture from getting under the truck cap, and into the bed area. It;s a little pricey, but well worth the money! Before I installed the Super Cap Seal XL, my tools were getting wet every time it rained.

Want to completely seal out water from entering under your truck cap? Get this and the triple bulb seal for the side rails. Fantastic product that will withstand time and compression. Unlike the other "foam" tape seals, this is made of EPDM and will not compress or degrade. Just amazing and am so glad I stumbled upon this solution!

These seals are a great high quality seal for installing a camper shell. I used these seals to install an ARE CX shell on my 2008 Tacoma. My shell has a rack with an awning attached on top of it, so I wanted to be sure to buy a seal that would support the extra weight and ensure no water gets into my shell. The extra wide shell seal covers the entirety of my bed rail caps along the side. Install was as simple as peel and stick, and the adhesive stuck to my shell firmly with no issues.

Adhesive could be stronger, seems to be working fine....
