Quality product, reliable and been around long enough to build a great reputation!
Gorgeous collar for my 10 month GSD. I am so glad I chose this one as it looks fantastic on him because he is mostly black. In my opinion Herm Sprenger makes quality products and I have never been disappointed. This one is too big for him currently but I am hanging on to it…he’s got some filling out to do. And yes - he is wearing a different Herm Sprenger fur saver collar right now (as a backup) along with their prong collar and he is off at training or I would send a picture. Great products!

Sizing was a challenge.
Since this collar slips over a dog’s head I measured both my dog’s head and neck before ordering the first time.My dog’s head at its largest point, just before the ears measured 18.5 inches. My dog’s neck measured at the top behind the ears, where a training collar should sit, was 16.5 inches.I ended up ordering the 22 inch collar. Which seemed odd to me given the measurements of my dog but the product descriptions are a bit deceiving.-22 inch fits a neck circumference of 18-19.5 inches-20 inch fits a neck circumference of 16-17.5 inches-18 inch fits a neck circumference of 14-15.5 inchesThese descriptions indicated that only the 22 inch collar would have fit over my dogs head but the 22 inch collar was huge. I mistakenly overcompensated by returning it and reordering the 18 inch thinking it would likely fit over her head since the product description also says “overall length of 18 inches” but it was WAY too small and only fit up to the mid point of her head. Now, with the 20 inch collar, we have a decent but still not perfect fit. While it fits over her head nice and easy now, the two fixed ends of the collar still touch together when tightened/pulled against a leash. The two fixed ends of a martingale collar should never be able to touch like this. But I’m not using this as a training collar. I just needed a collar my dog could wear that couldn’t be easily slipped out of and that wouldn’t mess up her fur. So I still like it. You can’t go wrong with Herm sprenger quality and it seems to be a real sprenger. Functionality for what I need and quality is good but sizing was a challenge.

Quality German Steel Collar
Black stainless steel is light enough for a 25 lb. dog and provides instant control on both sides. If you use the heal right side position for walking the martingale type design will not injure fur on the neck.

Sizes are written incorrect
I ordered the 20” collar and the description says it is for a dog with a 17” neck. My Malinois has exactly a 17” neck and the collar is too big. The ends when the collar is pulled right touch so there for no correction is given. It should be for a dog with an 18” neck. The collar is of the highest quality I’m just disappointed in the size.

Small - weird sizing
I love sprenger fursavers, would much prefer the martingale over the slip/choke chain for my own uses but the sizing on this is weird and doesnt fit the way id like it to at all
