Mouse Paint

I love this adorable story. Teaches children the magic of mixing colors, while enjoying a great book. Pictures are fun and storyline is too!

I love how this book teaches about mixing two colors to come up with a new color. I also love how the mice hide from the cat and uses the cat's water dish to wash the paint off of their bodies.

We love this book. The mice are adorable, the writing is simple and funny and engaging. I highly recommend it!

This book is great for my younger students as it introduces them to the concepts of primary colors, secondary colors, and mixing colors. Perfect for basic elementary level color theory. The students also love the story and the cute pictures of the mice scurrying around throughout the book. I originally checked this book out at a local library to experiment with on my kindergarten/VPK classes and they loved it! More importantly, it helped them remember colors and so forth, so I decided to pick up a copy for myself due to that success and it's now officially recommended in our art curriculum. :)

As an art teacher, I have read this book to hundreds of kindergartners over the years before teaching primary and secondary color theory. Now I read it to my 3 year old preschoolers before mixing colors for the first time. I also give this book as a baby gift in a “book basket”. Every child should know have to mix colors - especially by “doing a little dance!”

I have been using this book to teach preschoolers about mixing colors since it came out years ago. The concept is so simple but the pictures are so entertaining. If you like this book, you will also like her other books about counting and shapes. These are great teaching books.

Super tiny book! Didnt read the dimensions. Wish I had. Its a cute book but difficult to read to multiple children.

Das Buch eignet sich perfekt für die Vokabeleinführung der Farben auf Englisch. Es ist schön gestaltet und deine Bilder unterstützen den Text einwandfrei. Meinen Schülerinnen und Schülern hat das Buch sehr gut gefallen und die Farbtänze der Mäuse sorgten für einige Lacher.

This is one of my favourite stories to teach children about the primary colours and how to make secondary colours. The mice are excellent teachers.
