The Creme Brulee Torch is really one of a kind. Its officially called a kitchen torch, but its really useful in a variety of unique situations. You'd be hard pressed to find a situation that its not useful!All kidding aside, this mighty torch is one you'll learn to love the more you use it. Built from solid aluminum, it will last you years faithfully. A lot of care and thought clearly went into its design. From the handily placed safely switch, to the removable sturdy base, there's nothing you won't like in this little torch that can.The best use, by far, would be in all kinds of camping situations. From starting the campfire to roasting that giant marshmallow, you'l be the hero every night.Camper or not, its an excellent choice.

First mine did not work, it refused to fill correctly, leaking gas out the side of the valve instead of into the torch, and I tried 3 separate butane canisters and only managed to get a about a minute in it while most leaked out (again tried with 3 different canisters). For this review I will assume it worked and I just got a rare dud, and that is where my 3 star review is based on.I was use to a trigger style that controlled both the gas flow and the ignition. The trigger allowed a one handed operation, this one requires 2 hands to set the fuel flow rate and then trigger the ignition.With that said I am happy it was defective, as I returned it and will be getting the trigger style. If it was working I most likely would have kept it and regretted it. Again it is OK, but a chef really does not have the luxury to fumble with clunky devices, it has to work smoothly - this does not.

This is a good little torch. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that the flame will lessen if you have it on for more than about 15/20 seconds. It doesn't go out, just lessens.

This is not a good quality torch. I filled it up and tried to ignite it and it wouldn't light. Finally after 10 tries it ignited. Then I tried to turn it off. It wouldn't turn off. After 5 minutes I finally got the flame off but gas was still leaking from it. I put it outside till it was out of gas.

wow i did not expect this thing to work, it is a great product to be honest it took me over a week to even open it and being clumsy like me of course i doped it as i was taking it out of the box, not a dent scratch it really is a strong torch,i would definitely recommend it to anyone i actually got this for my grill but my wife is using it in the kitchen more than i well well i may have to get another one as the summer starts getting closer

The spark isn't very reliable, so it takes a couple tries to light.. but it's ok for the price.

Thought it came with butane. Will have to purchase same to try this out.
