5 Pack-White Light Trim Ring Recessed Can 6" Inch Over Size Oversized Lighting Fixture

I have six can lights in my patio ceiling. The lights are 15 years old, the baffles showed surface rust, and the trim rings were yellowed. The builder cut many of the holes too big causing gaps between the trim ring and vinyl siding as you can see in the "before" picture. This all added up to being an eyesore every time I looked up.I thought replacing the old yellowed rings with the new rings would be a good start to help freshen things up. Once I started I realized it would probably be a good time to clean up the baffles as well, so I stripped and powder-coated them gloss white.The new trim rings are oversized so they covered the gaps I had before. The trim rings have a matte white finish which goes well with the gloss white baffles as you can see in the "after" picture.Overall, a quality part designed to subtly cover sloppy work, what's not to like?

the item worked well. met my expectations

Make sure you understand what you are buying, these are made well and work well for their intended purpose. Many of the negative reviews are from people who did not understand what they are buying. These worked as a drop in replacement for my old yellowing recessed light trims. These are thicker than my old ones. I deducted 1 star because there is some extra plastic on the back and edges from where they were molded\manufactured.

Well, in upgrading my can light, I kind of destroyed the drywall in the ceiling to where you could see jagged edges right along the edge of the new LED light. I used one of these Trim Rings to clean up my mess -- now it looks clean, and professional around the LED -- and I can look up when taking a shower and feel proud knowing I fixed my mistake. Definitely makes for a stress-free shower for ME now. AND - you get 5 -- so now I can do the 4 in my kitchen and know I'm covered there, as well.

Rings worked great to cover odd size hole for new led lights

It is made of hard plastic which is durable but does not lie flat. The shipping packaging added to this small defect. I had to use 3M double sided tape to make it lie flat against drywall ceilings. Once in place, it does cover the old larger-than-can diameter openings and prevents loss of warm air heat through taller ceilings.

I recently bought a house where it appears the previous owners were DIYers. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem. However, these people only came at their projects halfway, and apparently didn't follow the measure twice cut once rule. Almost every single can light in the ceiling had giant gaps and holes around it. Thankfully, they make these trim rings. They were simple enough to put on, just drop the can light and slip them over. The lights look so much better with the trim around them and now it doesn't look like a DIY nightmare! I attached pictures to show just how nice of a difference these trim rings can make.There is also the fact that when we were pricing them out, Home Depot and Lowes only had single rings for recessed lights that came with a baffle, and one of them was the price of 5 from Amazon. We didn't need anything super decorative, really just something to cover up the hole that was too large.

Perfect fit for Halo 310 6" recessed can trims. Needed a little more coverage from poor cut out from the sheetrockers. Remove the small factory ring off the Halo trim and slide the wider goof ring replacement over the baffled trim. Very snug fit, looks great.

They were a bit small and would not work on the 6 inch Halo pot lights but with a little Dremel work was able to make them fit nicely. Great value for the cost 👍

Great product, couldn't find these anywhere else in any hardware store.Easy to install and very reasonably priced.Ordered them a second time.

It took a little modification but they worked.
