Excellent value for the money; kids LOVE it
Had our first outdoor family movie night recently, and it was a blast. This little projector was GREAT! I'm not a videophile, nor audiophile. I grew up watching old-style TVs where I was the remote, so I'm easy to please. Having said that, I'm nearly 30 years in tech, so I do care that it looks great, I'm just not super picky. For me, the 1080P looks excellent for how small this projector is! I pointed it at a wall inside the house for the initial setup; it's Android-based, and setup was pretty slick. It'll be even easier if you have an Android-based phone. Got all my relevant apps synced and it connected to my house WiFi just fine. Once I got it dialed in, I paired it with a JBL Flip 5 speaker. Combined with the stand I purchased, there's room for the speaker and the projector with room to spare. Planning on getting a second JBL Flip 5 to put them in "party mode" for stereo effect. For me, the sound setup is great. Since it's Bluetooth, you can place the speakers on either side of the audience instead of the stand if you want. JBLs are loud enough to be fun, but can be dialed in so you don't drive your neighbors crazy. Couple of tips: I used some stakes to ground the projector stand in the lawn; didn't want it accidentally getting knocked over. Also, when I first took it outside, I thought I had messed something up on the projector, but it turned out the brightness had been turned all the way down to zero. Not sure how I did that. Once that was fixed, we had a great time. Paired it with a 16' inflatable screen, also from Amazon. Super fun summer activity for the fam.

Impressed with this little thing
We had a projector that I used for teaching. But it no longer worked with my new computer. It was set up in a larger studio that could get fairly dark. The screen is 96in. The cost of that machine was $1,400 10 years ago. I only wanted to replace that function, not set up a home theater. We have good speakers in the room already, so I don’t care about sound. But this little thing is very impressive. Set up was practically automatic. It picked up our premium channels for streaming and I watched the new del Toro Pinnochio. Super impressed with the picture quality. Sound is ok. It’s a shorter throw than I expected, which is a bummer because we have a mount already on the ceiling. But it’s so small and lightweight, I can easily place it for a perfect fit. We’ve haven’t tried any others, other than the old Optima. So I can’t tell you more than that. But this Nebula is a big improvement over that one.

[UPDATED] Shockingly decent.
I've left my original review at the bottom, in case anyone else experiences the same thing and is searching for answers. At 120" even outdoors, while there's still some light out, the picture quality is quite good and visible, for well-lit applications. Darker videos obviously need less light, but nothing extreme. The onboard speakers is okay. I wouldn't recommend dramas, suspense, or horror, as they tend to have a lot lower volumes, but the majority of online videos and movies should be fine for small applications. If you're playing for larger venues, you're gonna wanna invest in an external receiver, because the Bluetooth connectivity is very much useless. I thought the other reviews were just exaggerating, but if anything, they're downplaying the horrific functionality. There's no way to use it. It really is on the level of being a joke; it's garbage and just serves to increase cost.Remote requires direct line of sight and is generally poor in responsiveness, but functional. No auxiliary output is probably the biggest flaw as it has such poor audio options.[PREVIOUS REVIEW (if this happens, your wireless hardware is defective)] This device is not easy to setup, like all the other reviews claim. Instead of simply listing available networks, for you to choose yours from, you have to manually input the name and password, before the device attempts to connect. It then fails, but doesn't designate if it was your network name of password that was incorrect. The Google quick setup is nothing more than 3 seconds of waiting before being prompted to unsuccessfully try the garbage wifi setup again. Oh, there's an app too, which does nothing - well, you can click a picture of the device you purchased and watch as a fractal infinity symbol is etched across your screen a few times, before being unable to connect to your device. At this point, I don't even wanna know what will happen if I try to just go straight to the HDMI. It really feels like this is an overpriced joke.

Fabtabulous portable projector for outdoors!
In Texas we do alot outside and especially in the evenings when it cools down. I have been looking into projectors for outdoors for a while and finally decided to get one. I researched quite a bit and did have a budget this one/brand came up on multiple reputable sites as being a great buy for outdoors especially you didn’t want to spend $800 or more. The picture is sharp, its very bright, super light weight for easy portability, easy to set up, and just an overall great purchase. The only slight drawback is the sound while it is loud we had it out by the pool & filter running was enough to make it hard to hear but I don’t think most will be sitting by a filter or machinery when watching a movie. Again 9.7/10 would purchase again & recommend to others.
