X-ACTO #4 Bulldog Clips 3 Inches Box of 12

These are the best chip bag clips on this planet, and it's a crying shame that they're marketed as "office equipment". No moving parts, nothing to get worn out and break. They clamp tightly, and you'd think they'd be too big at 3 inches wide but they're actually the perfect size. The steel is thick enough that it won't break. The only reason I'm replacing them is because they keep disappearing from the drawer, because they're so good that everyone keeps taking them. The only gripe is that they're manufactured in China.

I didn’t realize how huge these were going to be so I probably should have ordered 1 box instead of 2 😅, but my mistake was a blessing—these things are strong and can hold a lot of paper. I’m working with heavy duty folders and creating things out of them and am using these clips to hold the paper together while glue dries. They work really well for this. They do have little burrs on the inside some of them so you may have to file them down, or put a protective part or silicone sheet between the project and the clip to not end up with clip marks, but they are strong and do they’re job to hold everything together. Great price and good quality overall.

I ordered this package of 12 clips because I could not find them locally and I knew they were the perfect clamps for my scrapbook project which was for a special gift. Because I was unable to find a scrapbook that I wanted to use, I purchased 1/2 yard of tooled faux leather and covered a less desirable scrapbook in the correct size that I needed. I used Mod Podge on the outside covers of the scrapbook and also to the inside of the cut-to-size leather-like product. I simply used these strong clips to hold the wrapped cover edge with a one-inch border to the inside cover of the scrapbook. The covers dried in two days and I used an awl to punch the screw holes. With heavy linen 12x12 papers, the clamps were used again to hold the paper in place which covered the one-inch border on the inside of the scrapbook. This gave a very professional look. It turned out beautifully thanks to these X_Acto clips which are also very useful as clamps. Best of all, they do not mark most craft projects.

Over the years, I have owned many brands of clamps intended for office and kitchen use. I like these so much better than my previous purchases that I am inclined to discard all the others, and buy more of these. The hole in the handle is useful. It allows the clamp to be hung. Other clamps without holes may instead feature a magnetic grip which is less reliable and less useful. The strength of the clamp's grip is ideal for office paperwork and kitchen use such as resealing bags.

I bought without realizing it's a box of 12. I thought it was a bit pricey for a clip. But I'm actually glad there are 12 of them since I use more than I expected. I use it mostly for books and sketchbooks to hold and it does its job very well. I like how it has smooth edges and easy to use. It leaves no hold mark on the pages. Very versatile to use and perfect size for what I need.

Good quality and value

Look great, well made and they can "bite" and hold the thickness of 1/2". Very strong with a super firm grip.

I purchased gold or brass colour shown in the picture/ vintage industrial bulldog clip but delivered cheaply made in silver colour.. some of the the clips are not even clips properly and very sharp; high risk of a cut if you think as an industrial vintage one
