TEKTON 3504 Precision Needle Nose Pliers

I bought these to cut plastic construction tabs flush to the part. Despite what others have said, I knew these were smaller pliars going into this. What I was misinformed is they are not "flush" cutters. The cutting point is not on the very edge of the tool, so enough excess material is left behind to make them no better than any other cutters I have.The other issue is the cutter head was forged lopsided. It's not square and the while the cutter head meets together properly, it doesn't form an even line with the pliar body.They work great for normal clippers, but not the tool anyone would use these for

It's ok but for mY purpose (pulling frets out of a guitar) ie's deficient ...tho fixable using a bench grinder to reshape the 'biting edge' of the device ....In my case , the 'grip line' must be at the very tip of the device. .. NOT 1/16" beHIND the grip line.If you've a bench grinder, go ahead, as I did .. If not, go to a guitar tool site and get a real 'fret puller' ...

I have a pair of absolute end nipper cutters and several pairs of nonflush cutters of the size of the TEKTON in question.I have been looking a long time for another truly flush cutter.While I knew from the TEKTON presentation on Amazon it was not flush I thought I might be able to finish it into a flush cutter. Unfortunately, the TEKTON is of such poor quality on the cutter edge it appears as if it just came out of the forge, i.e. no finish at all.I test the quality of the cutting by clipping the corner of a piece of newspaper. This unit crushes the paper rather than cutting it.I may try filing it but that is an iffy to get a good cutting edge.With that, while it looks nice it is a piece of junk - for my purpose.

These pliers have a great grip, but the tip is actually too sharp for it be used for its purpose. When I squeeze the pin in the heel to pull it out, it actually cute right thru it. I can't pull it out if the head is cut off. I tried not squeezing so tight, but then it isn't enough to grip to remove the pin. If it wasn't so sharp, it would be the perfect tool.

These are a bit cumbersome to use but they are well-made and did get the job done. (The job: replacing rivets/buckles on a pair of mary janes). For the price, I am satisfied with the purchase although you might be able to find something cheaper at Harbor Freight. If you have smaller, daintier hands that are child-sized or perhaps fit into a small sized women's glove length-wise, these may be easier to use for you, (I wear a women's medium glove).

Pros- Sharp!!Cons- Small- Spring pops outI bought this to precisley cut plastic at a different angle than my 'scissor' style cutters. Either I didn't read the details or it doesn't display them, but this cutter is SMALL, like the grips are only about 3 inches long. After clipping millimeter thin plastic for about half and hour I found the palms of my hand to be sore from squeezing.

Lots of reviews mention how small these are. So imagine a really small tool in your mind before purchasing this. Now imagine it 25% smaller then you just imagined it! These are dinky!!! They do the job, but I'm a big guy and these do not fit my hand comfortably if I need to work with them for more than 5 minutes.

I did not like the fact that it was covered in rust when i received it in the mail.

Buena herramienta a precio justo y bastante competitiva. Acabado cómodo y buen grip. Mejor que Craftsman (ahora chinas). Yo la uso para servicios de mantenimiento en aviación. Bastante recomendable.

Worst piece of garbage ever . Feels like dollar store brand. And it's tiny . I can clench my fist and it's gone. Horrible horrible item
