Frida Kahlo (Volume 2) (Little People, BIG DREAMS, 2)

So much to overcome!
This is a very inspirational biography about someone who didn't let any of the (many) physically painful obstacles she endured prevent her from creating art. The drawings are (deliberately) stylistically simple, and an interesting choice for Kahlo's biography. My son loved the book, and said Frida Kahlo is "The artist that never stopped."

Great little story, pretty illustrations
Great little story about Frida. Nothing in this story is too much for any child. Children gets cuts and bloody knees all the time, they’ll relate somehow and love Fridas strength and empathy.

“I loved this book
I bought this book for a little Hispanic girl. When I was done reading it to her, she said, “I loved this book, but it was too short - I want to hear more”! This a good series showing kids how ordinary people like themselves will be able to do good things.
