Hot water almost instantly
This hot water circulation pump solved our problem immediately and we are now saving hundreds of gallons of water by not having to wait for hot water to reach our bathroom. Would definitely recommend. Easy to install.

Great product.
This product worked great. We used to have to wait 2 minutes for hot water at the kitchen sink and now almost instantaneously. Quiet circulator, easy install and no leaks!

Very solidly built.
It installed very easily. I hope it lasts. I run the pump 16 hours a day. It comes on about 8 times and hour for about 35 seconds and runs at 66 watts. I don’t use the built-in clock. I’m using a smart plug instead. The installation instructions recommend that you put thermostatically controlled blending valves on you showers. Today I got to feel why. As I was showering all of a sudden the shower water became very hot when the pump kicked on and suddenly there was hot water in the cold water line.Unfortunately my water pipes are not insulated. There is a three year warranty on the pump and a one year warranty on the rest of the assembly. I suspect the clock will be the weak point but since I don’t use it I don’t care. The last pump I had was half the price but only lasted 6 months. It was a different brand. The manufacturer is APCOM which is a recent acquisition of AO-Smith.

Do not buy this piece of junk.
If I could give this pump a No Star rating I would. This is the second one I purchased in hopes the lousy quality of the first one was an anomaly. The first one lasted about six months. This second one didn't even last a day. When I turned it one it squealed for a few seconds and then died about an hour later. When they ran they were great but they are junk. Do not waste your money. Amazon should drop this company as a vendor.

Easy solution for eliminating the waiting for hot water in the morning
I am part of a group of owners of a condo in a resort. One of the issues we had was the distance from the hot water tank to the master bath. Some owners reported as long as 5 minutes to get hot water to the shower. This device was installed under the sink in the vanity and problem is solved. If your local shutoff valves and plumbing is in good condition, almost anyone can install it. In our case the shutoff valves did not work so we hired a plumber to repair the valves and install the pump. So far everyone is pleased with it.The pump is not loud, but you need something to put under it or else the bottom of your cabinet acts as a sound board to amplify the sound. I think one reviewer stated it would be nice to have sound deadening feet to attach to the pump in the package. I agree. Perhaps using screws as is intended would work as well.

Works Great
Update: After working great for 7 months, one of the brass tee fittings started to leak. No idea why this happened, but it was leaking in the threads. I called Apcom customer service to see if i could get a replacement fitting. After a long hold, the person did not know what i was asking for and transferred me. I was immediately put into an after call survey. I called back and got the same person and the same exact thing happened. I called a 3rd time, got a different person and they said someone would call me back within 24 hrs. Never got a call, days later i starting searching for a replacement part and it was hard to find. I found this Lasco tee that was pretty much and exact match. "LASCO 06-9123 Angle Stop Adapter Tee for 3/8-Inch OD Compression x 3/8-Inch OD Compression x 1/2-Inch Slip Joint". Installed it and am back up and running. I realize now what others have said about Apcom is true and their Customer Service is not good.So easy to install, instant hot water now, i mean instant! Got the 10 MM silicone pads that are suggested in other reviews and some small stainless steel locking bolts/nuts and just set it on the cabinet base. We do not use the timer it comes with, instead we use a Kasa smart plug. Runs so quiet, we don't hear it at all, zero vibration. Very pleased with this after having it for several months.

This device is amazing - worth every penny (and your time).
I considered some of the less costly offerings but in the end I realized I was going to put a half-day's labor into its installation, took a deep breath (I'm very thrifty) and elected to buy a product that would respect my time. I'm not disappointed. The APCOM recirculation pump has brass fitting and what appears to be a steel pump body (I didn't check it pretty heavy to be aluminum). The product includes all the hardware needed for an installation in North America. While I'm sure the chrome on the fittings make them more durable, I was a little frustrated the plating was thick enough to require an adjustable wrench (which it does say in the instructions) instead of my Snap-ons. I have none of these knuckle-busting, nut-rounding potential projectiles in my tool box but fortunately my ol' lady isn't so curmudgeonly and was able to come to my rescue with a nice collection she hides from me somewhere in my own garage. The pump itself is pretty quiet, but vibrates the floor of my cabinet that I can hear it in the room next door where I keep my office. I did not elect to screw the pump body to the floor of the cabinet, but there are holes in the mount to do just that. It sits just fine without - but the peculiarities of my home may force me to buy four screws and rubber pads. I'm not sure why they didn't install (what I assume are check valves - on is position marked) instead of depending on your reading the instructions. If you're like me and have the battle cry "I don't read instructions, I write them!" It helps to know I'm an engineer. Do yourself a favor and match the brass fittings with the red paint on them. Finally, this comes with a single page, well written instruction sheet but in ENGLISH ONLY (not a criticism). I suppose if you're a Spanish speaker you could get one of your kids to read it to you; it's very straight-forward. I don't know how to recommend this product more.Update after a few days... I sacrificed a silicon trivet to place under the pump (no screws). Perfection! The cabinet no longer resonates and it absolutely cannot be heard. I think I paid $9 for a set of four here on Amazon (Premium Silicone Trivet Mats: 4 Multi-Purpose Pot Holder, Oven Mitts Hot Pads– Versatile, Heat Resistant, Non-Slip Jar Opener, Gripper Pad, Garlic Peeler, Drying Mat, Coaster - Heavy-Duty (Black))
