The “Kiss II” is one of Lichtenstein’s famous comic strip paintings. He loved replicating single images from romance comics of the 50s and 60s onto large canvases. For the pendant picture I used a partial image of Roy Lichtenstein’s 1962 pop art painting “Kiss II” and set it in a 25x25mm square silver plated pendant setting, then sealed the image with a clear glass cabochon. The back of the pendant is decorated with micro glitter (black with a little red mixed in), and a handmade Swarovski rhinestone heart. The image is crisp and clear and printed on premium photo paper. Dangling on either side of the pendant are 14mm Swarovski heart pendants in red. The hearts are attached to silver plate chain that also have Swarovski crystal and pearl beads. The rest of the necklace plays off the vibrant colors of the pendant with Swarovski crystals and pearls in a color scheme of red, black and white. The gemstones are onyx, agate and quartz chips in the same colors. The Swarovski beads range in size from 8mm to 4mm. There are also silver plate beads and bead caps plus ruby red rhinestone rondelles. The necklace measures 19” long with a 3” handmade beaded extender. The clasp is a silver plate swivel lobster claw clasp. I use only the finest 49 strand beading wire and finish each strand with silver plated wire guards. All crystal beads and pearls are guaranteed to be Swarovski. I fell in love with her courage, her sincerity, and her flaming self respect.
