Best $7 I’ve ever spent on my hair!
First off, this product will only work on naturally blonde or prelightened hair, so those of you who are leaving negative reviews or saying it doesn’t work on dark hair are skewing the ratings for an otherwise excellent product. That being said, this stuff is a real lifesaver when you don’t want to be in your stylist’s chair every other week to maintain your vibrant fantasy colored hair. I ordered it in “pushy pink,” and the bottle seems to have more than enough for two applications to my shoulder length fine hair. I left it in for 40 minutes (I wanted an extreme effect for the new year’s holiday weekend) and what I got did not disappoint: full on magenta pink at the ends, with varying shades of dark to medium pink throughout, aided by the highlights I already had. I did notice residue on my hair after drying, but I’m not sure if that was the fault of the product or my own poor washing. As far as the scent, it certainly was strong (my husband remarked, “it SMELLS pink in here,” upon entering the bathroom), but I didn’t love or hate it. There was no staining to my tub or shower curtain, but the stuff can stain your sink during application, so be careful of that. All in all, awesome buy for the price, and I wish I had learned of this product sooner!

Works as advertized!
Turned out great, starts out hot pink and fades pretty quickly. Didn't damage my hair at all and washed out in 10 washes. I'm naturally blonde with highlights in it and the color stayed more in the hair that had been bleached. I applied it to dry hair for 30ish minutes.

I have bleach highlighted hair so the color worked great for me
I have bleach highlighted hair so the color worked great for me. I've washed my hair three times and I still have plenty of color. My complaint is the texture of my hair with the product in. Although I've washed, it still has a sticky weighted down feeling. At first I thought I left shampoo in my hair then after washing againit had the same sticky feeling. I think it's because it is a conditioning toner, the "conditioner" stays in and thats the color. Overall though, if you have very light hair and want some color for awhile for fun, this worls great.

and something temporary/could be easily washed out if I didn't like it
After doing A LOT of research into "colorizing conditioners," I decided to try out the Splat Colorizer in Pushy Pink. My goal was achieve a light pink tone in my hair, without using any harsh dyes or anything that could damage my hair, and something temporary/could be easily washed out if I didn't like it. I have naturally medium/light blonde hair, and about three months ago had lighter blonde bayalage added. From reading the reviews, I knew I was probably only going to see the pink show up on the lightened areas of my hair. There was also much debate about the application directions associated with this product. I decided to apply the conditioner on dry hair. I started out sectioning my hair in two parts, and then used a color brush to apply. After about 5 minutes I gave up on the brush and just started slathering it on, making sure to cover all of my hair evenly. I used the entire bottle, and at the time, wished I had another one just to be safe and throw some more on. I left it on for about 20 minutes and then hopped in the shower, rinsed all the color out, and put on some Olaplex (at home treatment). I left the Olaplex on for about 10 minutes and used a gentle, sulfate free shampoo to wash it out. I know that by washing my hair immediately after coloring it, I lost some pink, but I was fine with it, thinking I'd prefer the post-wash tone anyways. The color turned out great! It was exactly what I was expecting. I did not feel like I had any of the weighed down feeling some other users reported- possibly because I washed my hair. The color has faded very nicely with more washes and I have already ordered more for when I want to touch it up.

Easy Application, Too Little Product
I'm going to preface this by saying my -1 star review is based on the amount of product, not the quality. On my long bob, one bottle of the Violet Vixen wasnt nearly enough to saturate my hair (even though I was using pushy pink on my ends). This worked out given that I opted not to apply to my hair up to the root but I was disappointed that it wasn't an option. Overall, I loved this but the purple wasn't nearly as vivid as the pink despite being on for the same amount of time. The scent is pleasant, gloves were included, it was so quick and easy to apply (I sectioned my hair into quarters, applied wearing gloves and combed it through), and the end result is amazing. Not sure of the durability just yet as it's only been a day but I'm optimistic. I've attached a before and after image in natural light as well as an after with the flash.

Fabulous subtle color for those of us that are not mermaids.
This is the easiest way to add color to my hair. Once every week and a half I touch it up (I only do streaks and tips- not my whole head) and it is very subtle and soft. I haven't noticed it drying out the ends but I always follow up with a leave in conditioner regardless of whether I use this after my shower. I don't go for mermaid hair so this is just right for me. If you want all over, rich, vibrant color, look for something else. This is subtle. And it fades over the course of 4 or 5 washes. But I like it even when it's faded to it's lightest point. Use gloves when applying, it'll stain fingers but not your face or neck. I prefer unscented products but the scent goes away after rinsing and it's not unpleasant or very strong while in use. Almost smells fruity, but like I said, it disappears after rinsing. Sorry, I'm too lazy to take pics so you will just have to take my word for it that it looks fabulous. (I dyed my hair a smokey silver color- mostly to hide my gray- and I use the violet vixen. Gives me a very subtle lavender hue to go with the silvery color.)

Bossy Blue a tad INTENSE for this old hippie
I have naturally grey hair and I know that grey hair is hard for color to grab onto...so I left it on for an hour....WOW...VERY BLUE HAIR! It stayed pretty intense for about 2 weeks through pool swimming and multiple shampoos. I'll stick with Violet Vixen as it is more of a pastel color. My 10 year old grand niece thought the Bossy Blue was "Dope".
