Not the cheapest but for 24x7 reliability it is well worth added expense
Super quiet and VERY fast. Perfect for a NAS. I always went for Ultrastars and its now owned by another name I trust. I have had MANY WD drives and in 30 years have never had one fail and my equipment is on 24x7.

Does not allow product warranty registration on Western Digital Support Portal. Says "The following Serial number(s) cannot be registered: because it’s either an OEM product or the warranty has been voided or it may not be a valid product"

After sending wrong product twice at last the hard disk I received was not being detected at all. And it was constantly giving that clicking sound what exactly we can find from a defective hard disk. Amazon said they had nothing to do for the defect. I was really upset. Yet I didn't lose hope. I contacted Amazon again. It was not a matter of 100/200 rupees. It was almost 22,000 rupees I have invested for a faulty product. At last Amazon registered a complaint. I also sent Amazon two videos to prove the fault. They replied that they understood that I received a faulty product. They arranged a refund for me and today I've got my money back. Thanks to Amazon. I am a customer of 15 years of Amazon. I never fell in this type of situation. Thanks to Amazon again for their awesome service. And to the seller, please be careful when sending these types of products. Please !
