I have used gel covers before and found them a great alternative to replacing the whole seat.I fitted this cover to my tandem seat which is getting quite old and has seen better days and losing some of its springiness, so getting slightly uncomfortable on longer rides.Normally I have found it takes a few rides to "bed' them in, but that wasn't the case for me with this cover. I have to say it was very comfortable straight from the off.Unlike a lot of gel saddles I didn't feel like I was sitting on spongy mass that moves too much under me. This was firmer cushioning but in a good way.The material looks nice and of decent quality. There is an air vent section in the middle to aid heat dissipation but I 'm not sure if that works in reality, but I guess any extra air circulation will help on longer cycle rides.Fitting the saddle confused me at first, the velcro straps don't secure to each other as I thought, they actually fix onto the bottom of the saddle material once it is pulled down at the back underneath and they are folded under against it.It comes with a plastic cover for the wet but it looks fairly cheap material I'm not sure how long that will last. I doubt I will use this, but it's handy to have should it be required.I could probably get a full gel saddle for a little bit more, however I prefer not to faff around with swopping out a seat that there's nothing wrong with other than being a bit uncomfortable so this is a very good alternative.

The measurement mentioned 18 X 28 cms for the bike seat cover, and my seat measured 17 X 26 cms, so I was positive this will fit my bike, Unfortunately, I didnt notice the video (which showed that the underneath of the seat is also very slim), nor was there a mention of feasible seat height / underneath (the above two numbers are length & breadth). That new dimension had its part to play, and my seat extending a good height downwards (and not short and abrupt like many light bike seats) couldnt fit into the seat cover.Apart from the fact that it didnt fit properly, I dont have any other complaints (definitely not sarcastic here).* The gel and padding are really good* Velcro option for fitting underneath the seat from both sides a very good option for east fitting and removal* The anti slip dots inside are a plusIts a shame I couldnt get to use it as intended, but holding on to this for my bike / seat change

My husband often complains when riding on his bike just how uncomfortable the saddle can get on long road trips for fitness. He often wishes his race saddle had more support cushion wise and often gets a numb bum. So I got him to test this out. It actually has a silicone and memory foam combo to offer a cushioned support but also a gap of just mesh in the centre to stop you getting clammy and sweaty when cycling. The cushion support sits in a 'V' shape with more cushioning to the front and rear and attaches to the seat with velcro. You just hook the seat from the front into a small flap or pocket and stretch over to the rear ( securing with velcro). There is a loop to the rear with the brand logo on but equally can be used to hand up when bot in use but also has a black shower proof cover to store inside to prevent dirt.Outer material is 85% Polyester and 15% Spandex.Filling is memory foam and siliconeLining 100% PolyesterMade in ChinaMy husband noticed the difference straight away and now comes back a happier bunny after cycling.

I have used this gel seat cover now and found it a vast improvement over the original seat without the gel cover.I am very happy with the fit “literally made to fit my seat” springs to mind.I have not been out in the rain but I can see from the material that the waterproof seat cover supplied will be waterproof I will actually keep it on permanent I think to keep the gel seat in top condition.It takes seconds to fit and is very straight forward. Likewise to remove is just as fast but in the reverse order.I will say that it is a lot thicker than my original seat but I still felt like I needed my gel padded shorts. Maybe it’s just me and I have a very sensitive back side but it’s not as thick as some I have seen. This definitely looks like a more sports inspired design rather than a Sunday leisure riding style as I have seen a friends gel seat and it must have been 4 inches thick this is probably less than half of that.I like the look of how small it is as it keeps the streamline looks of a road bike.I totally recommend this product to someone who like me wants to keep the bike nice and light but wants just a little extra seat padding.

This bike seat cover fits most seats and makes them comfortable to ride on long journeys. It is made of really soft gel-like/memory foam material and it is waterproof. It can be secured to the seat be easily and is easily removed. It seems to be durable enough to last for a good few years.

My bottom is rather large. I also like to cycle. Therefore, I was pleased to have this product to review as it is perfect for my behind. I have had a few gel seats before but found that they did not offer the support my glutinous maximus needed, with the result that a decent hours cycling left me in pain. I use a normal mountain bike but this beauty slipped on with ease and really gave me pain relief when out and about. It is also waterproof which is handy, but not essential, as normally a human would be riding on it when in use. The material is soft and well-made and the overall experience of cycling, with one of these on, is to enhance the sensuality of the ride. Of course, ‘real’ cyclists would think me a southern softie for wearing such a product but I would rather be soft than sore.
