Can’t really write a review when I saw it I thought it was just an amp but it was a pre-amp.I hook up my speakers and set it up ready to play my toons but no sound and instead of checking I called about not getting any sound and that’s when I was informed it was a pre-amp I could slap my self but it’s on its way back now looking for an amp with blue tooth hope I don’t make the same mistake hope I find an amp with the same features

Terrible product, it did not function straight out of the box. Terrible customer service, they charged me 5 days before shipping and would not allow cancelation claiming it was too late 4 days before it shipped out. Terrible service after receiving the product as well, unit is non-functioning. No sound after setting up and converting all the speakers from 2 wires to 1 RCA plug. Returning the unit now, turned it into UPS 3 days ago but they wont refund me until they RECIEVE the item. Like it's on me if UPS loses the thing? This is the worst customer service I've encountered on Amazon Prime. AVOID sellers like this at all costs. Made in China BTW...PlyeUSA my foot.

It would have been great if the remote actually turned the system power ON or OFF

I have zero issues, as a matter of fact it's a great pre amp for me but I did make the mistake and got the lower watt model. Now I use Equalizer as well as this so no issue.However I can only suggest to get a higher Watt model in case you need to push magnetic headphones some need a lot of power.Bought another one, boy what a mess. Center channel doesn't work, ZERO OUTPUT to EQ or AMP. Watch the backpanel.Mine had clicking noises. The HDMI will NOT carry any other input except the HD input port. Too bad, plenty of power but these models should have been streamlined, not worth different options, at least give everyone a single global outlet channel.

The unit came on time. After unpacking there was no user manual to speak of. I hooked it up to my Yamaha amp. Note I got this to replace a 50 year old Crown preamp that was given to me when found in a barn about 30 years ago. The low end response on this Pyle doesnt exist. I will most likely go back to my old Crown.

This amplifier is amazing sound and great price and easy to use I love it

I am not an audio idiot, but Pyle certainly treated me like one. I am poor at the moment. I've got $3000 into my speakers and amp and probably $500 in cables. I have an audio file ear but not the budget. All I needed was a bluetooth preamp to get me through until I can afford more again. How bad could it be?, I thought.I returned the first one within a month. Thank you Amazon for doing that. The sound was dropping out, like suddenly adjusting the volume low to high and the right channel did not put much sound out at all. The second one did the same thing. I contacted PYLE the second time because I went past my return point with Amazon. Pyle said it was under warranty and they would repair or replace it, but I was responsible for shipping. That was fine.Long story short. They immediately sent it back and said there was nothing wrong with it. "Check your installation or speakers." Before I sent it back, I borrowed my brother's preamp to make sure it was not my equipment. Everything worked fine on my end. It is not my wires, not my speakers, and not my amp. They worked fine. It is the PYLE unit that is bad.Bottom line, I had two PYLE units. They both did the same thing. PYLE took it back and made it sound like they would work with me. They returned a unit that has a defective right channel.DON'T DO IT! BUY SOMETHING ELSE.

This is a review only of the PREA86BTH and my personal experience trying to connect this to an Onkyo over HDMI. I opened a support email with Pyle, unfortunately they couldn't even understand the amp doesn't have speaker connections (pretty sure they were reading a script rather than actually looking at the item), as I asked if I could use RCA in from a DVD player then output the sound through HDMI to another amp. It can't. Others have posted this question and Pyle support seems to have answered yes here, but obviously they have never actually tried it. You can't even get FM radio to go out the HDMI on this! The amp seems to be merely a passthrough for digital to digital on top, and analog to analog on the bottom. I didn't try FM to RCA as I only need HDMI functionality. Hope this helps anyone else before they waste their time (between support chats with confusing Pyle reps, and ordering and shipment time).
