Wonu Korean Quality Heavyweight Two-Ply Mink Blanket (Black, King)

I don't have time to leave feedback on everything I buy here but I had to tell everyone how much I LOVE MY BLANKET!! I cannot express with words just how much I love this blanket!Did I mention I LOVE MY BLANKET?!!! When I was first considering this purchase, I was a little discouraged by the price. I've never spent that much on a blanket in my life! However, my son had a mink blanket that I was quite envious of due to my cold nature. After I saw all the positive reviews on this particular blanket and how much it weighed, I decided to take a chance. It was my early Christmas present to myself. WOW!! I'm so glad I did!The weight is so beneficial in so many ways. I set it on top of all my comforters and such and it acts as a snug weight. I have a serious problem with the cold air that rushes in under the covers whenever hubby climbs into bed after I'm already asleep or when he rolls over in bed and stretches an air gap between us. It's so cold that it wakes me. Now, with this added weight, it anchors the covers to the bed and no more cold rushes of air.The cold air would also draft in from the edge of the covers as well, when I would first climb into bed. When the room was freezing and I'd be struggling to get warm and snuggled at first, it was rough having that cold draft coming in from the sides. I'd try to tuck the edges under my side and little tricks like that. No more! The weight keeps the edges pressed against the mattress. This is surprising too. There's only about 8" hanging over each side, but it works well.Also, my feet... I have always struggled with cold feet. I'm talking about being so cold to the bone that my feet would sting. The rest of me would be cold to the bone as well, but my feet would literally keep me awake until they warmed. Sometimes I'd actually wear sweat pants and house slippers under the covers because I just couldn't overcome the stinging cold. No more! My feet are sometimes still cold when I first climb in the bed, but the recovery time is surprisingly quick and I have not had a single time that my feet were so cold that they stung since using this blanket! I've even tried electric foot warmers and doubling up blankets at my feet before. Nothing ever worked until this blanket. It was an answert to my prayers!If you know anyone elderly or just cold natured, this would be an awesome gift! In fact that's what I'm getting all my fellow mothers in the family! This blanket gets rid of the misery of being so cold. I don't know if it's a circulation issue, but my hubby loves to keep the house cold as ice all year long and it is an endless battle for me to stay warm. This blanket is my new best friend!Also, for anyone suffering from an achey old injury that's worried about the weight being too much; it will probably be okay for you. Hubby has a shattered ankle and sometimes even the slightest weight bothers it. However, he says it hasn't bothered him at all. That may be a different story when it really gets to aching and being inflamed, but for now, no complaints so far.It's very soft and the size is good. It's not super wide, but wide enough to leave approx 8"-10" on each side on the king size version. The length is very good. Plenty of extra length to tuck in at the feet, fold at the pillow line or pull up for extra tall people.I'm not sure what it is that's so comforting about the weight of this blanket but it makes me think of how a baby is comforted by being bundled. It's just perfect. I think hubby's even been sleeping a little more sound since this has been on the bed. That's saying something for such a restless sleeper!It's soft and warm, it stays put and it's the perfect weight to make me feel at peace while sleeping. No more freezing until the bed warms up. It's warm right away!! I cannot believe I went my whole life without one of these!I just cannot say enough good about it! I call myself the "Amazon Queen" because I buy so much here, but I think this is my all time favorite purchase on Amazon! It's THAT good!If you're considering it, get it! You'll be glad you did! It's high quality, well made and worth every damned penny IMO!The one and only complaint I would have is the limited color choices. But hey, I'm not looking at it while I'm in a heavenly sleep!

As far as quality, I got exactly what I was hoping for. This blanket is diesel. It is luxuriously plush, thick, warm, and HEAVY. I almost shelled out over $200 for a weighted blanket, but this one did the job. So in a functional respect, I am 100% satisfied.I was a bit irked by the rather obnoxious and unavoidable dual-sided placement of the very unattractive "WONU" logo on either side of the blanket. I had been expecting a solid black mink blanket, uninterrupted by block-style, intrusive brand advertisement.As irritating as it was to see that, in this particular instance it didn't bother me enough to detract from the overall quality. Also, I purchased the king size, and my standard washing machine is no match for this behemoth sized piece of bedding; it needs to be taken to the laundromat to be washed. For that reason, I'm keeping another comforter over it, which also keeps the aggravating "WONU"'s out of sight/out of mind.Overall though, I think this was an excellent buy. I did a lot of homework before buying a mink blanket and I'm glad I went with this one.(Pictures posted for additional info. I should also mention this is the king-sized blanket on a full-size bed, for proportionality.)

This is definitely a _heavy_ blanket. its a bit stiff right now, but I think it will be a bit better long term. Freaking warm too.

Exactly what I was expecting, or more even!!I was looking to find a replacement for the "San Marcos" Mexican blanket with the animal print I had in my childhood and was worried when I read they were discontinued. After some reading I read that Wonu was a reliable brand. I was worried if I got 1 ply it wouldn't be thick enough, so I got the 2 ply and I am extremely glad that I did. I got the king and it's real big and heavy and soft. Maybe just a little heavier than my last blanket, but rather that than it be thin. I rubbed both layers together to test the inside, and there's nothing inbetween, because they're so thick, filler is not needed.I'm completely satisfied with this and hope I could help anyone narrow down their choice.

Its not as nice as they used to be. My dad brought back a similar blanket when he came home from korea deployment in the 70’s, it was heavier, softer, and probably more durable than this as it Lasted almost 50 years before seams started to fail. Time will tell if this one will hold up. Dont get me wrong, im happy with this new one, just sad that quality has dropped over the years.

I thought I was going to have to plan a trip back to Korea to find once of these blankets. Omg. It's so warm, soft, and big better than the one I got. It is two ply but you don't notice unless you're actively being a weirdo by trying to pull it apart. It has some weight to it. Definitely a must if you are in cold environments. There was no "wonu" tag on mine (thank goodness) so it can be quite stylish anywhere. The company was a little slow in updating the tracking info but other than that I have no issues with this purchase.

18 pounds of luxury. I have been searching for a non wool, heavy blanket and these just aren't to be found in my area. This blanket is HEAVY. I don't think it would be suitable for a bed cover king size, but it is perfect for my couch with blanket to spare. It has a beautiful sheen, feels good on my skin and I wear cotton only, so I was concerned about synthetic touching me. It is hard to handle, but I am a six foot 210 pound man, can't imagine a tiny woman wrangling it about. Can't seem to get warm? Like a lot of blanket? This is for you. Takes more than two days but who cares? Once the word is out these will sell out.
