very nice product - thickness is very good , handle has solid and Sturdy to lasts long . size of very good enough to make big size chapatis and parathas - 5 star for the product

Can't tell now about the durability. Only time will tell. Size wise good. U can make dosa with this 28cm tawa ( it's tawa not tava ). Never used aluminium tawa this heavy before. Build quality is in stand by ( will tell after using it ). It has 5 year guarantee ( not warranty) , that's good. Can use metal spatula on it. Although I will not recommend it. Using wooden spatula will be nice. Colour , finishing are good. Let's wait and see

My wife refused to further prepare anything that was needing tawa, my bad. So I locked on to this product from Hawkins. Basically all of Hawkins branded products are damn costlier and this is no exception. However, the product quality spoke for it's cost. Product Review: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Have used for more than 2 years as of now !!!. Here is my experience ♦ Anodized and you won't find any rusting forming across ♦ No matter how much longer you put in on gas, the handle rods have never become hot ♦ Feels rigid and solid, unbreakable kind of ♦ Black residue forms and sticks across after few days of use, but a proper cleaning removes it ♦ More importantly, Dosa, Chapatis, eggs etc all fry/toast very well, but initial days would be a little trouble. ♦ Health friendly. Have used several NON_STICK tawas and none lasted for more than 4-5 months. Plus they are not good for health as well, but this product isn't. So you can use with confidence. ♦ After several months of regular use (for home only), the coating peels off slowly. Though you can use it within that for chapatis, etc but that is not what you'd expect in less than 1 year. Issues: ~~~~~ I have used two of the same product, one for my family and the other one for my mother in-law. Both faced the same problem (Peeling-off) within a year which makes me HARD TO RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS. Now I do not recommend this product for long reliable usage. But it is amazingly good until the peeling off stage. Please note, this is not compatible with Induction stove. Next I am planning for Prestige product and I shall update soon. Final Verdict: ~~~~~~~~~ This is better than other Tawas which usually in my opinion would last 5-6 months (Say Prestige, etc), but this one just doubles the life time. But still wish it could have lasted at least 1.5 years... Reducing one star Update after 10 months :- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ♦ Does not last long as expected. Within 9-10 months, the corners already blackened in all sides ♦ Now making big dosa is not at all possible. ♦ The peeled off section can't be repaired or serviced, no warranty too Update after 1 year of regular usage ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Used mostly for Dosa, Chapathi. Now look at how the pan has changed into. Pictures attached. Only 3 stars. I am saying it shouldn't turn bad, but the life of the pan is less than a year for the great anodized Hawkins branded Tawa <Hit helpful it has helped you in making decision, thanks>

Heat dispersion is uniform. Chapatis making is good. Non induction. Smooth finish. Quite thick. Its value for money

Good quality pan but (my mistake!) not compatible for induction hob. Cost over £6.00 to return in postage 😟

Solid built quality. Costly but overall worth it. Heats up quickly and heat distributed evenly for good roti.

Very happy with this item. It looks to be of good quality. I've used a hard anodized tawa before, from another brand and that lasted me many years (before I accidentally put it in the dishwasher). This seems to be of even better quality. Used a few times already and it functions just like nonstick without the harmful coatings

Good buy thickness is good Dia is slightly smaller for those who make bigger Roti.

Make sure you read everything before use and instructions on how to properly clean. I LOVE this pan...made Naan with 1/8 of the oil I would have used in a regular pan. Even heat, absolutely best purchase I’ve made in a very long time, not a penny wasted. Very easy to clean if you FOLLOW instructions, so don’t skimp on reading it.
