Necessary addition to your Solarcon A99 antenna
Very well constructed, and essential for the best performance from your Solarcon A-99 vertical. Just be aware that the four elements are each over 6 ft. long, and pointed downward at 45 degrees when installed on the A-99. That makes for a very bulky, unwieldy assembly that would be very difficult for one person to handle. Just get a helper when you install it, and it will be fine.

Ground plane disaster
WARNING !!! THE SOLARCON GROUND PLANE WILL NOT WORK EFFICIENTLY WITH THE A-99 ANTENNA. THE A-99 IS PRE=EQUIPPED WITH A COIL THAT SERVES AS A GROUND PLANE. THE PURPOSE OF THE GROUND PLANE BECOMES DISTURBED WHEN ADDED TO THE A-99 RESULTING IN A MUCH HIGHER SWR READING WHICH WILL CAUSE EXTREME DAMAGE,{ FRY YOUR RADIO ]

Helps with transmit and receive
I use it on my A-99 antenna and with it at 46 feet high on a sturdy pole, this ground plane provides for great Ears and also helps with the transmit. On 4 watts, I talk around the world on Am, and on 12 watts sideband on my Galaxy DX-2547 using an old Silver Eagle K model lollipop. I believe each radial is about 6 feet long so you will need some help putting it up with these radials on your antenna.

Replaced tops of old Antrons
Works fine for me. I am not using it for a ground plane. I needed the rods to replace missing or broken rods on the top of 2 other Anteron 99 antennas that I have. Now I have 4 working antennas made from parts and prices of old broken ones.

Had to chase the threads.
Nothing against the seller, but I couldn't get any of the ground planes or various other antennas with the 3/8x24 thread to even start on any of the ports. I had to order a tap, just to chase the threads. It was like the manufacturer had just rushed their work and didn't bother to double check the work.
