The part fit perfectly. I just welded it in place.

It fit pretty good after hammering it in place with a mallet and triming it where it needed to be trimed it covers about 40 percent of the pan a couple of inches past the end of the seat rails. The metal is thicker than i was expecting. Its not as deep as the original pan though so the battery might sit a little bit higher than it should. Overall happy with the result .

Contacted seller and asked if it would fit a Super Beetle. This was the farthest thing from the truth.Sheet metal could qualify as loose leaf paper.

For those who see poor reviews , I’ve been a be restorer for 40 years , these pans are “patch” panels and designed to fit many years , they will need to be cut , trimmed or pounded into shape , get over it or spend $500 for a oem ( if you could find one ) panel

I purchased two of these floor pan sections and one was good quality and the other one was only half the quality of the other. They used thinner metal and the stamping wasn't as good as the other.
