the best so far
this is the best tasting chicory I have had yet. It dissolves instantly with no bitter taste. sometimes I mix it with instant coffee usually, I drink it by itself. A welcome side benefit is it really helps me be regular!! (sorry if that is tmi!)

Easy-to-make, coffee substitute for this insomniac.
Ordered this to replace coffee in my plight to give up caffeine in order to sleep better. It’s very easy to make — just like instant coffee. Add 3 tspns of chicory and add 8oz of water and stir.I drink it black. It’s a good enough substitute for coffee and I’ll likely order again although I feel it’s slightly pricey. Going from one caffeinated drink in the morning to none has helped me sleep better, so I’m grateful for Anthony’s Instant Chicory. See my photo attached.

Nice, Full-bodied Alternative to Coffee
No, it’s not coffee. If you expect it to taste just like coffee, you’ll be disappointed. But if you are looking for a very pleasant-tasting alternative to your morning (or evening!) Joe, because for example you are experiencing some untoward effects from caffeine or have developed a mild allergic reaction to coffee, chicory can be a great choice. I’m totally enjoying mine with a dollop of cream, and a bit of stevia or allulose. Yum!

If you're searching for a legit dark roast coffee substitute, this is it!
Like everyone on here, I was looking for a decent coffee substitute. I like Teeccino/dandelion as a tea, but it really doesn't provide the same experience. But this... oh my goodness. 8oz hot water, a heaping tablespoon of chicory, a splash of half and half and it's pretty dang close to the real thing -- in an instant. Not to mention that it's gut healthy and I can drink it whenever without worrying about being up all night. I call it a BIG win! For the record, I'm a dark roast coffee drinker (and don't even like medium/light coffee), so this probably leans toward the flavor of a dark roast.

Not nearly the strong rich flavor of brewed chicory.
I wanted to try something different instead of my usual brewed chicory. This was ok if you don’t want strong bold chicory flavor. I used three times as much as my usual Chicory and it still didn’t do it for me. If you’re looking for a mild taste this would be fine.
