Firstly, the battery ships with everything on needs to open the HP Envy 13 base to access the battery: a complete set of magnetized hex and Phillips head screw drivers, instructions and tools for separating the base from the case.Once I had the case open (it was a struggle I suspect because I had dropped the laptop some time ago and the drop may have slightly deformed the case) the installation was easy. Trying to reattach the base was a struggle, again, perhaps, because of a potentially deformed case.The instructions, in just slightly broken English had a pretty unrealistic break-in program which would require one to monitor battery levels discharging to 10% over three cycles. The problem was that the battery was so robust that depleting it to 10% took more than 14 hours. Who monitors their computer battery level for that long? Perhaps one could come up with a power-hungry setup that would make the wait time more reasonable.All said, even tho I once allowed the battery to drain to 0% (a bad thing per the instructions) it has worked flawlessly and has better staying power than the OEM.

Good quality. Easy to install. Laptop can't tell the difference. I'd call it a great success.

Given the poor heat dissipation on the Razer Blade, I go through batteries about one a year, like clockwork. My first OUWEE replacement battery in 2021 worked fine, and just inside the 12-month warranty period it failed, so OUWEE sent me another one, which also worked fine. Just over a year later, my battery is bulged again, so I look up OUWEE and order another. It arrives, I install it just like the last two, and boot my computer back up, and it's at 0% and won't rise, even after hours of being plugged in. Reinstall battery drivers, no dice. So I report it as defective and request a replacement. That one comes in, and it's the same thing again. So after a couple more hours of troubleshooting, I give up, file for a refund, and order an RDSJK battery purely because it looks like it came from a different factory. That one comes in, I plug it in, boot up, and immediately it reads 65% battery and charging. So OUWEE sent me two defective batteries in a row. Buyer beware, I guess.Also on one battery, one of the mounting tabs was crushed due to insufficient padding in the package, but a pair of needlenose pliers fixed it right up in a couple seconds, and almost every replacement battery I've gotten for my computer has had at least one crushed battery tab.

The battery came in OK after a round about trip. As I am overseas serving our Great Land, I cannot purchase a battery VFR direct. So the battery came to me through a series of mis-directed stops all over the world. I researched my computer and found the maintenance manual, then I followed directions to disassemble the unit, found the battery and then started the hunt for a replacement. I tried the HP part number, it doesn't exist. Then I tried the many other entries on the battery until finally hit the pay dirt. I ordered the battery and waited for delivery. Once in my hand, it took only 45-minutes to install the battery and a dead laptop came back to life. I then switched off the laptop and allowed it to charge overnight and all day until I came home from work. I then turned on the laptop and allowed it to run about 8 hours pulling in and installing updates, some over a year old. Since then the laptop has been running, mostly on its newly installed battery, every day both at work and at home. The laptop is about 5 years old and still as fast as it has ever been. I highly recommend investing time to research and downloading a maintenance and repair manual for your laptop. Believe it or not, they are dead easy to work on and the tricks and other information in the manual really helps one getting around the obstacles and road blocks. Where I am at, computer repair shops are non-existent. You have to do your own repairs, much like a driver back around the turn of the 20th Century who has to get his horseless carriage running again. Good Luck!

This battery was a perfect fit for my HP Envy laptop that was about to be thrown away. The original battery had swelled up and caused the computer to stop working.I decided to give it one last chance before trashing it and try changing the battery. I know my way around desktop computers very well, but my experience with laptops is pretty limited. Despite that, the hardest part of the process was getting the case open. The actual replacement of the battery was quite simple and my old computer is now back to perfect working order.I can't comment on the capacity or longevity of this battery because I haven't used it for very long, but it fits perfectly and works well right out of the box.Well worth the price to bring an old computer back from the dead.

Needs to be replaced every 2.5yrs from swelling. Otherwise, it's a good replacement battery and gets the job done.
