Our Favorite Coffee
The best coffee ever! We tried this to see if it was like all other coffees. It’s amazing. The rich flavor is smooth. There’s no bitterness. Every sip is good cup after cup! We even subscribe to a regular shipment. The beans smell awesome when being ground.

BEST Coffee EVER
This is the BEST coffee. Everyone that has a cup of my coffee says the same thing. It ROCKS! It is smooth bold coffee with hints of chocolate like notes. It reminds me of a central American bean like Guatemala or Antiquan. I don't care if I have to pay dumps tariffs. I will. This coffee has forever customers in my family. The roast is amazing make 9 rounded T for 12 c. (I use a scoop for my loose tea)Perfect.

Lavazza's Dark Roast Bean Treasure
Before my review below, is it just me or does Lavazza, Amazon, and other authorized Lavazza resellers tend to sell Lavazza whole beans that were roasted almost a year ago? I realize they "nitrogen-flush" their beans for freshness, but once the Lavazza bag is exposed to air, the decomposition naturally continues, and logic says, beans professionally roasted 2 weeks ago will taste better than the same beans that were also professionally roasted a year ago? Thus, year-old "fresh" beans will go stale sooner than 2 week old beans?Discover the layers of flavor profiles WITHOUT any burnt undertones. I prefer Gran Riserva (and not "Gran Riserva Filtro") over Sinfonico in that Gran Riserva has more toffee, chocolaty and maple sweet layers whereas Sinfonico has a bold strong woodsy chocolaty coffee. Brewed in a Breville Barista, this lesser-oily dark bean also keeps the grinder easier to clean / brush, without sacrificing oily coffee layer characters. This bean is wonderful for steamed milk coffees. Now the negative: The 2.2 pound Lavazza whole bean packages I have received from Amazon and other webstores, despite Lavazza nitrogen-flushing and vacuum-sealing the beans, tend to have "older" roast dates (sometimes almost a year ago). The "Best By" dates are still about 6-9 months out but I swear, the whole beans tend to lose some of the character flavors (and crema) a bit faster than fresher, locally roasted beans. But it doesn't taste stale. Plus, Lavazza price point is also significantly lower than say, Peet's (Forte) beans at my local Peet's store. If you're searching for excellent dark whole beans (from Italy!), I'd say a freshly roasted bag of Lavazza Gran Riserva is still a winner and worth making it into your coffee bean rotation. It's a total crapshoot on how "fresh." or old. of a bag, you will actually receive. The good news is if you get year-old coffee beans, Amazon's customer service is tops.2/23/22- Sadly, I’ve pulled this product OUT of my rotation. The older roast dated bags I have received lately seem to be much older and happen more often. I’m not sure if it’s because of the pandemic procurement issues or if Lavazza beans are on the warehouse shelves longer, so I had to remove one star.. Great bean blend, just not as fresh as I prefer to grind. Ciao!
