Good Starter Case or Replacement Set
The media could not be loaded. As I say in my video, I lost my entire fly case at the end of last season -- so bought this to get me back in the game. I'm not crazy about every single one of these flies, and some look a bit absurd to me (the larger ones), but then, maybe that's because I mainly fish browns and rainbows in small mountain streams. So while I could have bought a case and then each fly one-by-one, I got this just to get myself going again. It's a nice little two-sided case. The flies are fairly nice, but I imagine I'll replace them over the years with new ones that I acquire and really like (often at specialty shops). I do like some of the nymphs in this set, and the skeeters look good to me. I tend to use those the most when fishing for trout.I tend to use a little bit of Dry Fly when fishing the surface with a skeeter or other flying insect. Note that some of these flies are actually made of foam, so will float all on their own.Note that the flies are all hooked into foam, which seems to hold them pretty well. I suppose if the foam gets ragged over the years, it can always be replaced or repaired with new sections. No need for a rubber band on this case: the clasps hold it shut very well..................This product was NOT given to me as part of any promotion. I bought it after doing some comparison shopping and this review is entirely the result of my own opinions and use of the product.

Nice case and assortment to get yourself going
Nice starter kit, I just got into fly fishing (have been salt water kayaking fishing most of my angling career) and these did the trick for me. Nice selection of various types of flies to choose from in a compact case. They definitely work, have had success using a few different kinds now.

Spectacular Must Buy Fly Set
I was excited to get these flies, and rightly so! As I opened the package, my excitement grew ever more - these flies are right on! Feel free to follow along my review with the pictures below, I will try and go in order. The flies came shipped in adequate packaging with nothing broken or moving around upon opening. Really neat nice looking package. The box the flies come in is worth probably $10 on its own, so its a nice throw in. Its a really sturdy feeling box that has a waterproof seal as well, and will float if dropped in water. It also has some eyelets on it for attaching a carry string, if you would like to do so...another nice feature. The flies are all tightly secured in some grey neoprene foam with slits cut in it. There is room for maybe about 10 more flies or so if you'd like to add your own.On to the Flies--------On one side of the case, you have your larger flies, some wooly bugger variations (in Colorado the black and the olive color are the most important - these are both included along with a red and black sparkly one). There are also 5 foam based larger flies on this side, with a mayfly variation and some hoppers. These are the only ones I am not so experience with, so I'm not sure how I feel about them without testing them.On the other side, you have a real treasure trove of mixed flies, arranged in size from smallest (1/4" long) to largest (1" long) (a really nice little help from the manufacturer). There is a mixture of nymphs and dries on this side, most of them resembling some of the more common flies used here in Colorado such as the pheasant tail, midge, prince and mosquito and mayfly variations. Most of these flies look realistic to what you would see in the area, with one or two that look like they may be a bit flashy for our over fished and nervous trout. There is also one simple red worm included as well.I removed some of the flies from the holder to admire their craftsman ship as well as the difficulty in removing and replacing flies. They appear to be of high quality material, the same that you would get if buying for $2 or more a piece from your local store. Make no mistake, these are not cheap Chinese products and are worth the money the seller is asking. They are hand tied, and for the most part, spot on for my region at least.I would certainly feel very comfortable taking just this case along with me for a day on a high alpine lake doing some bubbly time. In fact I plan to do just that, this weekend as soon as this snow and rain system that has been sitting on us for 4 days is passed by. I will update my review with more pictures and any more feedback after field testing.

Brittle hooks
Kit arrived complete no missing parts or flies others have reported, the quality of the hooks are very questionable. These flies were attempted to be used in a river run that requires barbless hooks no big deal crimp the Barb like with every lure or hook I use, each crimped Barb caused the hook to immediately snap, same thing across hook size, no good. I would question these for targeting larger species or if you need to debarb they don't appear strong enough for these tasks.
