Fit my Anova Precision Cooker 3.0
Fit my Anova Precision Cooker 3.0 (Model AN525-10). Got it for use when a larger pot / container is needed, and it has high sides, which hold the cooker too high.Round, bottom cap twists off (helps to apply heavy pressure when turning). For some reason, it inserted easier into the slots when I rotated it 180°. So try that if it’s not installing easy, or when replacing the round, bottom cap.

Snapped off immediately on my first use.
Cheap Plastic. Does not fit easily. Waste of money. Wish I would have read some of the other reviews about it before purchasing.

If you own the Anova Precision Cooker (not the Nano or Pro) this works great
I just purchased the Anova Precision Cooker (model AN500-US00) and this base was said to work with it. After opening the cooker, it didn't look like it would attach to the base. It comes with no documentation.I searched for videos and the best I could find was an Anova product video which shows the plastic bottom piece magically disconnecting from the cooker (it's animated and the base just drops straight down as if it would just pull apart). The saving grace were comments on the video which said that the bottom plastic piece does twist off (even though it seems like it won't).Just grip the bottom piece solidly and twist counter-clockwise about 25 degrees and it will come off. And the base will attach (by inserting it in the holes at the bottom of the cooker and twisting clockwise). Hopefully this comment helps others. It's too bad that some sort of documentation doesn't come with the base explaining this. When it comes to plastic, I don't want to exert too much force (after doing just that and many things breaking through the years). The bottom piece is solid and you shouldn't break anything if you need to use a good amount of force. It should come apart. At least it did for me.

get it on sale
seems like a nice thick piece so i’m guessing it won’t break. fits properly in place of the original bottom cap and has a nice snug connection. the base is wide enough to it to be stable but not ridiculously wide. the msrp is ridiculous for a single injection molded piece of plastic. wait for it to go on sale.

Fits well
Make for sous vide on any pot that's deep enough possible.

Guess they fixed the description...
Didn't fit the nano - This was NOT in the description when I bought mine.

Great product - Find video for easy install
This does exactly as advertised, it allows you to have yourPrecision Cooker (not the Nano, and not the Pro) sit upright on a counter, in a cabinet, or in a pot for cooking. It requires you to remove the clamp and the original base (we saved ours just in case), but that is fairly easy to do following the instructions in the Anova FAQ. Go to the Anova website, click on Support, click on Precision Cooker, and click on "How do I disassemble/reassemble my Anova Precision® Cooker?"

Check fit before buying
Although the description says it works with “Anova Precision”, and I have an Anova Precision, this base doesn’t fit my unit. Check the different photos in reviews. Before buying, look at your Anova Precision unit. Unscrew the clear plastic bottom part 1/4 turn and take it off (I didn’t even know this could be removed). My bottom part has 3 tabs connecting it to the top part, and it doesn’t fit my unit. This base looks like it’s designed to fit a 2 tab unit.I’m sure it would be great if it fit.
