Amazing product

I recently purchased the Geeta Press Srimad Bhagwad Gita in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English, and I have to say it’s a beautiful, comprehensive edition of this sacred text. The translation is clear, and the book offers valuable insights, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Very very bad translation. The author does not know English this is very obvious but it also raises the question if the author really know Sanskrit. Here's and example : Chapter 9, verse 15 ज्ञानयज्ञेन चाप्यन्ये यजन्तो मामुपासते | एकत्वेन पृथक्त्वेन बहुधा विश्वतोमुखम् jñāna-yajñena chāpyanye yajanto mām upāsate Folks who understand that me through knowledge or many other means ekatvena pṛithaktvena bahudhā viśhvato-mukham Come to the conclusion that that , I am either singular, unique among many or same entity with different forms. The Geeta Press translation of this simple verse is horrendous to say the least. They completely butchered a simple translation of a very simple and easy verse with lot of mumbo-jumbo word salad. Book came with pages folded and the print was printed over the folds. If you try to smooth out the paper the paper was never cut correctly

This item is not a hardcover book!!! And, if you want to talk to someone from Amazon, FORGET IT!! I guess once they have your money all help is done.

I haven’t read shrimad bhagawadgita ever. This is Perfect for someone like me who want to start. Plus Sanskrit text is translated into hindi & english. Easy to read and understand.
