REALLY OUTSTANDING SUGAR REPLACEMENT
Holds it sweetness even in Baking. The Only One I’ve Found That Tastes Exactly Like Sugar. Good Job‼️However with all the Recent Studies on Exertol (?) saying it causes heart issues those with Cardiovascular issues probably should not Use This.

I Have A New Favorite!
I have tried several forms of natural sweeteners over the years in order to limit my sugar intake. Some of those formulas have been found to be less than beneficial, some of them might be dangerous, and several provide an unacceptable taste and/or texture. While Stevia products are the best so far, I have come across both good and bad mixtures. Some are powdered and hard to work with, some become bitter if you use too much at one time, and some of them lose their potency (sugary taste) the longer you store them. This Pyure Organic All-Purpose Stevia Sweetener has a taste and texture that closely mimics natural sugar. You can prove it to yourself by setting up a simple test. Put two small plates on your counter with a small amount of sugar on one and an equal amount of Pyure Stevia on the other. Have a family member close their eyes, lick their left pointer finger, and place it on one of the samples. Then have them do the same using their right pointer finger on the other sample. Have them taste both and ask them which is the Pyure Stevia. I would be very surprised if they can tell a difference. This Pyure formula is gluten free, has zero calories, has only 2 grams of carbs per serving, and is certified ORGANIC. You don't need to use much as 1 tsp of Pyure is equivalent to 2 tsp of sugar. It is also one of the more reasonable costing formulas of Stevia. If you are diabetic (or pre-diabetic) you will find this a great substitute for sugar.

Delicious and sweetens baking and teas like a pro
We use this product for baking and for sweetening pretty much everything that calls for a sweetener. If you want to make something like fudge or frosting and have a spare or clean blade-type coffee grinder, run it through the grinder to powder the erythritol and you'll be set. Otherwise, get the Swerve confectioners' sweetener. It makes a great replacement for saccharine and other artificial sweeteners (word of caution for diabetics - make sure you monitor your blood glucose when trying alternative sweeteners. Just because it doesn't have the 'ose's like sucrose or fructose, doesn't mean your blood sugar will stay where it should).I will admit I find it a tiny bit weird-tasting in coffee, but don't let that stop you from trying it in your own. If you're the type that gets asked "do you want some coffee with that sugar?", this might be a good alternative to help recoup the benefits of coffee that are robbed by using table sugar. When you consider the amount of sugar that goes into a pitcher of tea or lemonade (even Kool-aid for that matter) and the resulting calorie content, this product makes for a great way to seriously cut back on sugar. Just be willing to experiment a bit with your recipes because once you get the hang of it and can start cutting out sugar consumption, you'll go a long way toward reducing inflammation and other health issues associated with sugar consumption.

Sugar Jury is Still Out... Update, it's IN
-- Update #3While I like the product it’s one of those that I’ll wait for it to be on “sale” before buying it. When it’s an “Add-On” purchase it’s 6.98 (at the time I’m writing this). Interestingly that’s the same online price from wally world so maybe that’s an incentive for Amazon to continue to keep the price down. Either way, it’s considerably better than the $12.60 cost on Pyure’s website for the single 16 oz. bag.-- Update #2Just went to buy this again and the price jumped from 6.98 to 8.90 (one time purchase). That is a price increase of more than 21% in 30 days. I knew prices would go up over time as Stevia products become more mainstream but a price hike of 21% in a month makes no sense. Maybe the seller thought no one notice?--- Update #1Okay - After a month of use (and using it very sparingly) I have to say that as long as they don't change anything (i.e. add fillers, become non-organic, etc.) this will be my go to sugar substitute. I've tested it as a sweetener replacement in some baked good and it's worked well. This won't replace the plain stevia I use in coffee and hot tea. For me, 1/4 tspn of stevia is equivalent in sweetness as 4 teaspoons of the blend in a 16 oz cup of coffee. I also add a 1/2 teaspoon of stevia to sweeten a gallon of a very slightly stevia sweetened drink mix. Since I use stevia primarily in drinks a 1lb bag lasts me up to 3 months and I've got no problems with the taste. Oh yeah, I also mix a 5:1 ratio of cinnamon to stevia for things like cinnamon toast or shaking it over waffles. I did try that with the blend but it didn't mix well (kind of crunchy). Not surprisingly, it does not dissolve as quickly in cold drinks as it does in hot drinks. Also, I made some freezer fudge and used this as a sweetener and while it was good fudge it was a bit crunchy because the crystals did not break down due the low moisture content of the ingredients (chocolate chips, peanut butter, cocoa, etc.). Cold tea is the best (in my opinion) test of dissolvability but for some reason I haven't made any lately. Guess that will be my next test.It was great in the Black Bean Fudge and chocolate chip cookies that I baked and I make oatmeal smoothies with a Ninja blender and I use cold Cashew milk and it blended well. I think in items such as baked goods, heated homemade fudge, or used in a homemade coffee creamer (cocoa, cashew milk, sweetener) this makes them taste much more like the store bought versions.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Original ReviewI'm still trying to decide if I like this or not. I've been using stevia for almost 10 years but there are things you just can't do (easily) with stevia (i.e. baking).Plus, my taste buds have gotten too used to stevia and I've gone from 1/16 tsp in a cup of coffee to 1/4 tsp. Otherwise, I can't taste it. I discovered on my own that if I mixed a small amount of brown sugar (i.e.1 tsp) with 1/8 tsp of stevia that the sweetening power of both seemed to come through better. But, I didn't really want to use sugar so I started reading what other "blends" were out there and which were the least demonized (because no matter what sweetener it is, someone is going to come up with “alternative” evidence and rant about how bad it is).The stevia and erythritol blend seemed to be the most accepted although not 100%. Erythritol does come out on top for having the least potential side effects. But, I guess I won't know unless I do something like grow a tail and suddenly can breathe underwater. One thing about the taste is, at least to my taste buds, I'll never confuse it with real sugar. One review I'd read about erythritol said that it had a "cooling" effect. Kind of like spearmint gum but much milder. My oddball taste buds seem to interpret it as a very light vanilla flavor. That's not a bad thing since I frequently put cinnamon and/or vanilla in my coffee.I'll go through this a lot faster than using plain stevia since the blend isn't as sweet and it takes more of it to sweeten things. More along the lines of sugar although a bit less. But I've got some plans to try it in some baked goods and if it works out it will be worth it.
