Speedy BOSH!: Over 100 New Quick and Easy Plant-Based Meals in 30 Minutes from the Authors of the Highest Selling Vegan Cookbook Ever
K**.
This cookbook is written by British authors!
I didn’t realize when I bought this cookbook that the authors were British….therefore, all the ingredients are listed in the metric system. I have to translate everything into ounces, pounds, etc. Also, many of the ingredients listed are either called something different in the US or are not commonly used. As with every cookbook I’ve ever used, if they say 30 minutes from start to finish, it means an hour or longer….but that’s just me….I’m a bit on the slow side for prep—especially if I have never made the dish. As for the quality of the recipes, they are okay. I haven’t found anything that overwhelmed me, but they are good.

Bonkers
This review is based on our first attempt to use this recipe book; Spicy Dan Dan Noodles. The instructions are nuttier than a box of frogs, halfway through you will be questioning if it was written by different people in different time zones, by the time you finish you'll realise that if you follow it in any order other than printed it will make more sense.Purchase this if you like blending puzzles with cooking and time travel.

Ok but their previous books are better
I love the Bosh boys and their recipes (I’m totally addicted to watching their videos!) But I’m not convinced by this, their 5th book in 3 years. I’m concerned they might be doing a Jamie Oliver and churning books out a bit too often as their recent offerings are not as good as their first two books. They are still miles ahead of other vegan cookbooks though in terms of passion and creativity. As soon as I heard this book was coming out, I preordered and even made 2 of the recipes from watching the videos online the week before the book was released. I made the Sloppy Joe Dogs as written and unfortunately there was way too much marmite included. They asked for 35g and I thought that’s a bit much, surely a tsp would suffice but decided to trust the recipe and go with it but I should have trusted my gut, it was waaay too much and totally overpowered the dish rendering it unedible and I do usually like Marmite. I will definitely make this again but will just use a tsp next time.Next up I tried the goulash with dumplings which in reality was just a vegetable stew with caraway seeds. The dumplings were awesome but the stew was bland and boring but I repurposed it as a Chilli a couple of days later. The speedy Spag Bol had me blending sausages and veg into a grey paste in the food processor Before cooking which I found rather unappealing and also not that speedy, any recipe that has me cracking open the food processor is hardly quick in my opinion. I wasn’t convinced by the ingredients either, juice of an orange and a cinnamon stick in Bolognese? I didn’t like this at all however my daughter did and ate a big portion for her tea so perhaps it’s not bad, it’s just me.I have several other recipes bookmarked to try so I won’t write it off just yet. There are several delicious sounding recipes and gorgeous photographs to drool over and I do appreciate a book which concentrates on dishes you can put together in a hurry.

disappointed
I was disappointed by this long awaited third book from the Bosh boys. First recipe i looked at listed an ingredient 'Henry's mix of something and no reference of where to find it - not in index either. Also the usually yummy final photos didn't appeal. Perhaps I wasn't hungry enough. Sorry - other two books are better

Disappointing not really speedy just using tinned or packet ingredients etc.
Loved other Bosh books but this is disappointing. The recipes are only speedy because things are pre cooked e.g rice etc or packet tinned veg and also using a microwave. Not inspiring. Not really speedy if you want fresh ingredients.

Brilliant Cookbook
Vegan cooking at its best, inventive and thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend this book to any meat eater as well as vegans.
