Very good product
The fitting was delivered one day earlier than expected. The Rise and fall pendant was of a excellent quality and was very easy to fit.

Looks smart fairly easy fit but cable tails quite short so fitting a bit fiddly

appears to be good quality, easily fitted by electrician. along with a led "Happy" lightbulb. statement piece in our kitchen over the breakfast bar.

No instructions
There were no instructions includes as to how to adjust the rise and fall mechanism. The tensioning wire looks like thick cotton, I would have preferred a plastic coated steel wire. I am hoping (!!!) it will last at least a few years use.

Perfect replacement for my old rise & fall lamp fitting
The old (brown) ruse & fall unit failed suddenly. After establishing that just replacing the bulb did not fix it, I deduced that the fault had to be somewhere in the connection where the lamp plugs in. So rather than face tangling with a crumbling 10+ year old Bakelite lamp socket and inaccessible wiring, I bought this white rise & fall unit and attached it where the old one had been. My greatest challenge was in removing our nice ceramic lampshade from the old fitting and attaching it to this one, without breaking it. By the way, delivery was very fast indeed - the seller shipped via DPD.Updated 19 Nov 2023 with two photos to show: (i) the (normally hidden) black tension adjuster / control regulator; and (ii) where I added some insulating tape to prevent the white collar at the top from tending to slip down.
