FINAL UPDATE:Okay Be Well has made me a customer for life. The fact that they were willing to send me a new product to try for free sold me on their customer service, but the Unflavored protein powder (my replacement) is incredible. I used it in overnight oats and would have NO idea that there’s protein powder in it. If you’re sensitive to sweetness I would not recommend the Vanilla, but the Unflavored is amazing!UPDATE:So I just want to update my review to 5 stars because I think the customer service of this company is top notch. Within 24 hours of my review posting the company reached out to me and offered me a refund and a complementary replacement flavor. I decided to try the unflavored and will update if necessary. But honestly 10/10 on customer service. It’s rare a company goes so far above and beyond to insure their customers are satisfied with a product.ORIGINAL:So I’ve been trying this protein powder for a few months now and at first I thought this is just how protein powder is supposed to taste, but after looking at reviews again I think it’s just not for me. I’m guessing it’s the monk fruit extract? It’s unbearably sweet, and if I’m using it for anything other than smoothies I can’t stomach the taste. I love the simple ingredients, but I cannot stand the taste. It doesn’t taste like vanilla, it tastes like sweet chalk.

Love this product! I have a coconut allergy and it’s so hard for me to find good clean products without coconut sugar, cream, etc. I whisk this with almond milk and make chia puddings! Delicious. It does clump (as do all beef proteins) but with an electric whisk it’s great in chia pudding, smoothies are also delicious! I have about two scoops a day!! I bet would be great in the ninja creami!

It doesn’t mix with water? So you end up with chunks like wet peanut butter floating in gelatinous soup. The “vanilla” flavor kind of reminds me of chocolate, but with broth up front. The aftertaste is metallic. 5 minutes after I opened it, I wish I could have my money back. Is this product a prank? How could someone sell this to innocent people? It’s inhumane.UPDATE: I just learned from this company that this is not AT ALL a “beef” protein product. It’s just collagen / bone broth protein, so this is false advertising and you are probably entitled to a refund if it was sold to you as “beef”. Here is their response to my question about the source:“This protein powder is not derived from dehydrated meat that is then ground into a fine powder. Our unique grass-fed beef protein isolate is derived from the extracted protein and amino acids from the fleshy bones, tendons, and joints of hormone- and antibiotic-free animals. This product is delicious and awesomely clean, blends great with everything I’ve mixed it with, delicious every time. Had a delay with Amazon fulfillment on an order and contacted the company through Amazon and then directly and was provided amazing customer service with Be Well, they went above and beyond expediting protein powder I had been waiting on with an added bonus of free product and a discount for a future order. Even though I had ordered through Amazon, this small business made things more than right and I’m so impressed with them and their product. I’ll keep buying and I highly recommend their product knowing they can be trusted to provide great quality and customer service. Thank you!!

I was disappointed with this product. This brand came recommended to me and I ordered the unflavored version since I usually find flavored protein powders to be overwhelmingly sweet but the taste and aftertaste of the unflavored version were unpleasant to me. Tasted metallic and worsened the overall flavor of foods despite trying to mix in different smoothie combinations or even in overnight oats. I do like how simple and clean the ingredients are and that the product is dairy free, but probably should have tried a flavor instead.Updated 1/31: The company reached out to me and offered to send a flavored bag of protein powder. I received the chocolate flavor and it is delicious! Probably the best tasting chocolate protein powder I've ever had! Not overly sweet, not chalky, mixed well with almond milk and was great in a smoothie. Love that it's dairy free and has a lot of protein packed into 1 scoop. I would purchase a flavored protein powder from this company again. Thank you!

Cleanest collagen protein on the market without stevia (bewell uses monkfruit). I’m lactose intolerant, so this vanilla beef isolate protein is my go to. Hexane free processing and if you ever listen to any of Kelly Leveque’s podcasts she only sources the absolute best. The taste is delicious. My kids even like it. It has the perfect amount of vanilla and monk fruit.As for the consistency, it does take some blending (just a stir will leave some chunks). I’m okay with this aspect because if you think about it the powders that blend perfectly probably have some ingredients that are not so great for us.It’s super easy to use. I will use it in my protein pancakes, muffins, cookies, smoothies and coconut yogurt bowls to get my protein in.It’s not cheap, but if you set up subscribe and save and compare to other grass fed collagen brands it’s right in line!
