PherX for life
I was very excited to try this product. I'm a believer in the power of pheremones, at least those organically produced by our own bodies, not only because scientific research points to their efficacy, but also because I track my ovulation and have noticed a significant change in the way people treat me, for the better, during that time. However, synthetically produced pheremone products do vary in their performance, and I approached this product with cautious optimism. I wanted to try this mainly to play jedi mind tricks on my husband, and also to boost my performance in the workplace. This bottle is small and very clinical looking, with a small spout applicator. The smell is light and pleasant; it is reminiscent of clean linens with a touch of floral notes. It pairs very well with Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue, for reference. The scent is light enough to pair with most fragrances, although you should apply it before you spray fragrance or apply lotions, because you don't want there to be a barrier between the oil and your skin. This product does appear to impact how others view me. I didn't notice the effects so much with my husband, but that could be because he is already such an affectionate person and I know he finds me attractive, so it is difficult to distinguish between his natural behavior and the pheremone effect. With other males, however, the effect was obvious. I put this product on about midday, and by evening I had forgotten about wearing it and stopped looking for reactions. My husband and I were out eating dinner, and I suddenly noticed that every male sitting at the surrounding tables had their eyes glued on me. It was almost freaky, and I wasn't even dressed up. They were all smiling and followed my every move for that entire meal. The next day, the same thing happened in a different restaurant, and strangers were being very polite to me and going out of their way to exchange common courtesies. Some very grumpy male coworkers treated me very politely, and I got amazing feedback on a presentation I did while wearing this, and the presentation was at best average. I am very objective and analytically minded, and I feel confident telling you that this product works, and it's so much fun to feel like you have a secret weapon against the world. It's great for those days when you have PMS and feel like you'll never be attractive again, which happens to me all the time. 30 something bucks might seem like a lot, but Athena pheremones are 100 dollars a bottle, and this gives you amazing noticeable results immediately. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Ineffective for me, just an expensive oil.
I agree that the subtle smell is plesant, but you can't really smell it unless someone is sniffing it very close to your skin. I would've given this a star or two more if I could use it as a perfume, but it's not even good for that purpose. And it also DID NOT work to attract or entice men the way some of the other reviews have outlined. So not being a good perfume and not working to entice men, in the end what you are left with is a very expensive oil. I tried it on my BF who couldn't even smell it untill he put his nose on my skin and it didn't make him any different than normal. Then I tried it on random men, as I was running errands, and no one did or say anything out of the ordinary to me. For me, it was a wate of money.

Interesting & Fun
Before I purchased this product, I read several of the reviews - some of which seemed far too good to be true. But overall, the realistically-positive reviews outweighed the negatives and I decided to try PherX for the heck of it.Here is my experience in the past week of using this product.I work in a heavily male-dominated career field. But due to the nature of my job, my coworkers are incredibly good at treating me like "one of the guys." And for the most part, I'm okay with being a "bro" in the office and on the road. When I received my package, though, I couldn't resist the temptation of wearing it out to an office party. My experience: Good overall. I recommend it to anyone looking for a little boost in a party setting. I blended two drops into lotion and put it on my neck and chest, and added one small drop to my leave-in conditioner because I once read something about pheromone production around the female scalp. (Haha! It could've been rubbish, but it seemed interesting enough to try.) The results were noticeable, but not MAGICAL or ASTOUNDING as some of the reviews claim. It didn't make my coworkers hang all over me, nor did I turn all eyes in the room - but there were changes in everyone's behavior. Several of them commented on how nice I looked - which is HIGHLY unusual for them. Instead of the usual "bro banter" they seemed more inclined to tolerate me and my girlfriends (who were also wearing some ;D) chatter about whatever WE wanted.I did notice while dancing that one guy who got particularly close kept nuzzling my neck - which aside from being annoying was also slightly endearing and a testament to the product and its placement.I also tried the product /without/ alcohol involvement in a non-party setting. In the office, everything was back to professionalism and polite distance. I did note that the guys laughed more authentically at my bad jokes, and they seemed to speak more softly. Instead of being treated like another guy, I was treated like a lady... (which I don't think is as much fun, personally!)So overall - I'd wear this to a party setting in a heartbeat. But it's not for office use, at least for me.I'm giving the PherX four stars for the strange, balmy-powder scent that I think is an attempt to cover up the tangy, acrid scent of what I assume are the actual pheromones. It's like trying to cover a black-eye with red lipstick. Thank goodness it blends easily with a couple of my perfumes, because I would not wear it alone. I would prefer the funky pheromone smell alone to blend with perfume instead of having to worry about the bad floral-powder combo. If you've got the extra cash to toss around, I recommend giving it a whirl.
