New version works great on my modern singer 7258
My old one with the plastic attachment point broke. I like the new metal attachment, hopefully this one is more durable!Tested and works great on my quilting project. No issues with the lever getting stuck, it moves up and down smoothly.

Highly Recommend!
I bought this for my extremely basic sewing machine and I love it! It works well and makes things so much easier when sewing together multiple layers.

Best presser foot to have for sewing
I love this walking foot, I sew heavy material like canvas and vinyl and it keeps the material from moving around. they should include it with all sewing machines. I have a Singer Heavy Duty 4452

Works well for sewing certain difficult projects
Ok, so the walking foot isn't the panacea fix-all for sewing with thick or unique materials that I was hoping it would be from all the blogs I've seen, but it was pretty effective for sewing some minky to denim in one project I made. Also managed to sew blizzard fleece really well with only a few skipped stitches. For some reason it refuses to work well with some other sewing projects, but it is what it is. Not the foot's fault - probably user error.Anyway, it fits both of my Singers (a newish Esteem II and a 40 year old Singer) as well as my Husqi Viking Scandinavia 100, though the part that attaches to the needle bolt is not the greatest. Still, for the price, it works brilliantly.

Singer Walking/Even Foot. New Version
i’ve been working on a quilt for my daughter for about a month which is pretty thick because of the it material. this presser foot has been pretty useful. I have a Singer M1000 which is an older model and it was a bit tedious trying to get the walking foot to align with the needle at first but i got it eventually and it works perfectly. it feeds the quilt through the machine smoothly and so far no issues.

Get This Foot - Up Your Sewing Game!!
Wow - this walking foot has really upped my sewing game. Had this on my machine non-stop for about four months now. No longer am I struggling with “fabric jams” holding up my stitching. I’m not an amazing seamstress by any means but I really feel that this food has given me a lot of confidence and has made me feel like I can more easily sew difficult types of fabric with ease (polar fleece and Jersey knit in particular). It has also made pleating a breeze. It didn’t come with instructions BUT... HINT: It was easy to install after looking up a video on YouTube. You can also look up how to use it on YouTube as well. Super basic, if I can do this anyone can! The only thing to be aware of is make sure the bar on your machine will connect with the lever on the food. I went to the Singer website to confirm compatibility with my machine model number. The price here on Amazon was much cheaper. My only complaint is some fabrics catch on the tiny foot pad that is on the very back of the foot, as it’s ridged and can catch the edges of some fabrics. It doesn’t happen all the time but I do have to keep an eye out for that and pause and life the food for a second to adjust the fabric just a smidge, to avoid bunching and messing up my stitch. This would probably happen with any walking foot so I don’t blame the product. Over all - five stars foe me!

Finally a walking foot that fits
After trying generic products that stated they were compatible with my older Singer 1993 machine I decided to give this one, one finally try. So glad I did now I can quilt on my machine! 🙂
