Beautiful! The illustrations are amazing. And the book is fascinating.

If you're a Tolkien fan, this is a great book. I have the paperback version from years ago. I bought this hardcover edition with illustrations as a Christmas gift and my nephew really liked it. Great stories from characters in the Lord of the Rings, side stories, etc. Great illustrations.

Order arrived sooner than expected. Everything was packed with care and arrived in perfect condition. Wonderful book, illustrations are beautiful. A must have for Tolken readers and fans of he lore of Middle Earth

Just received this new hardcover book from Amazon. Not surprised it got banged up in shipping. Prices are good, but I need to go to a bookstore where my book was kept in new condition.

The book was delivered with mild damage to the very nicely illustrated dust jacket. This seems to be a continuing issue as I've had this same issue with three other Tolkien books. If you're going to order this version of the book, you should definitely expect mild or moderate damage to the dust jacket. The book itself is in good condition and has excellent illustrations.
