Fabulous, elegant purple pearl necklace that channels the sumptuous style of days gone by. My color inspiration for this necklace came from the gorgeous handcrafted, artisan made lampwork glass bead that is the feature element of the piece. This lampwork bead has a unique bumpy texture that makes the colors encased inside look like they are under rippling water. Under this bumpy surface is glass in shades of lavender and green, shot with gold foil...very unique and beautiful. The single strand of freshwater pearls in this necklace are embellished with Swarovski crystals in a matching purple and contrasting milky mint green, with decorative gold plated filigree bead caps. These colors mimic those in the lampwork bead. I used various shapes and sizes of crystals to add visual interest to the necklace. This necklace is 18" long with a 1" extender chain, and is closed with a gold plated lobster claw clasp. The freshwater pearls in this necklace are slightly irregular "potato" shape, approximately 7mm. The lampwork glass focal bead is a cylindrical shape, 3/4" x 1/2" (approximately 20mm x 10mm) Shown in photos is the coordinating earring.
