*****UPDATE 4/03/2025***** ~ I just had to come back and revisit this review with an update and some new pictures. I had always been the type of person who switched up my purses often. However, when I found this backpack purse four years ago, I fell in love with the style and functionality of it. Over the past four years I have purchased this same exact bag in multiple colors. It is my daily purse. I have pretty much used this style exclusively since I bought my original one. Occasionally I will need a bigger backpack or a smaller purse for special events, but when I am on the go most days, this is the bag I use. It may not seem like a big deal, but as someone who got bored or frustrated with purses often, to find one that fits my needs and continue to use it for years says a lot about the product.That said, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing. I did have two bags with zipper issues. One I had mentioned in a previous update, and just last month, another bag started with zipper issues after about six months of use. Again, it was the same problem as the first issue with the main compartment randomly splitting open. My other gripe about this bag are the straps. I don’t have any issue with the fabric/nylon portion except that it often gets twisted up on the bottom while trying to put it on. Perhaps the loops holding the straps needs to be more narrow to prevent the material from twisting up.I would still continue to buy this bag and recommend it to others. I had even bought one for a friend who complimented me on mine. The material is durable. I haven’t had any rips or tears, even at stress points with the straps. It’s been a great bag overall. I still give it a 5 star rating. I just wish Cluci would offer more colors in this style. The options have dropped off considerably the last couple of years. I do hope the company continues to make this bag though. It’s been my favorite go-to bag!****UPDATE**** November 8, 2022**** ~ I ordered the Two Tone Coffee color for late Fall/Winter and OH MY....it is gorgeous! I am leaving a couple of pictures but they don't do it justice. Photos were taken in natural light. Truly a beautiful bag. My first outing with it, I even got a compliment on it from a fellow shopper at the store. It is comfortable and I love the material. This is a newer version/model so it has the lighter inside lining and the plaque company logo. I am just now using this one, so I am hoping the lining and zippers hold out. I've read reviews about the new lining tearing easily and I truly hope that isn't the case. I will update if there are issues. But, so far, I LOVE IT!!!***UPDATE*** August 25, 2022 *** ~ I wanted to give a brief update about this bag. Over the last two years, I have placed multiple orders of this same exact bag in different colors. I absolutely love it! HOWEVER, the bag I had gotten for the summer months, color of two-toned blue, I have unfortunately had problems with the zipper. I haven't had any issues with any of the bags I have purchased until this one. I had only used it for about a month when the zipper for the main compartment started splitting and opening up randomly. It worries me that it may do that while it is on my back and I can't see it. I am not deducting any stars from my review, since I have loved these bags and have used them every day for the last two years without issues until now. But it seems lately in the reviews there are more and more reports of problems with the zippers splitting open. It is something to be noted for sure. Other than that, I have been very happy with this product overall. ***(Original review) This bag is almost the perfect backpack purse. There is so much to love about this bag. It really becomes the bag you need at any given time. The pictures I attached show how versatile it is. Most days I use it as a purse for errands and shopping, but I can also easily add my day planner and a book for appointments, and on days when I need my notebook for writing, it too can easily fit inside. My zip-around notepad holder is taller than most 3 ring binders and it fits perfectly with no issues zipping it closed.I got the Dark Grey color in this style and really like the color. It does have an undertone of brown. I used this bag during the Fall, October - December, and really loved it for the most part. I didn't have any issues with the zippers at all....they run very smooth for me, and I found the bag to be very durable. No issues with seams, rips, or tears. The outside of the bag is very strong and easy to clean. It is also comfortable to wear. I love all of the pockets and organizational layout of this bag.Now for the cons ~ Like I said, it is ALMOST the perfect bag. There are a couple of annoying issues that might be a deal-breaker for some people. First of all, the straps do not stay in place. They slip and slide way too easily and if I am wearing the bag for a while, I do have to readjust the straps. Even putting it on or taking it off, the straps fall out of place and will need adjusting each time I put it back on. And the second annoying issue is that the material of the bag becomes really pliable over time which makes it a little too floppy. Sometimes I feel like I am fighting the bag to put things in or take things out. I almost dinged a star for this, but honestly, the pros do outweigh the cons for me.I've enjoyed this backpack purse enough that I bought another style from the same brand. That picture is also included. This time I purchased the Light Gray color for the Spring/Summer months. The layout of the purse is similar except the front pocket is a taller one with a flap. The look is a little more sophisticated and not as casual, but I love them both. I will give a full review of the Light Gray flap pocket one after I use it for a while to test out durability.

I fell in love with this as soon as I opened the package! I wanted a purse that would be spacious enough to hold all my stuff and this does the job! The material is so buttery smooth and so are the zippers. Everything feels and works nice. I appreciate the style of the bag as it can go with any outfit or look. The size was bigger than I expected it to be and that's okay because again it holds all my stuff and more. Overall, its definitely worth every penny. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great quality, roomy, and decent bookbag purse.

I love the looks and quality of this backpack. Very versatile and soft. This beautiful color was easy to choose. Lots of storage capacity it’s nice to feel like your items are secure when at a theme park or other errands. This bag also came with a small cosmetic bag. That was nice to keep small things organized.

I bought this for a plane carry on to have a little extra than what a small purse could hold and yet comfortably fit under the sit. It has good compartments for separating items. I bought the color black for a classic look. It's a nice size weight, and build well.

Excellent product, real leather, sturdy, numerous pockets, …love it! A little bigger than expected however it’s still small enough for a purse and not as large as a regular backpack.I highly recommend this bag! Thank you!

This bag is darling ! Love that it has water bottle storage . Lots of pockets, easy accessibility , and fashionable. I wear this bag to work and to events. Great for dressing up or down.

This is the 3rd Cluci backpack I have purchased and they have become my daily "purse". I have it in black, brown, and now grey. Started out with the brown for travel and it is large enough to hold my tablet or laptop, as well as other "purse" essentials. Liked it so much I kept using it daily. Very good quality, and after a year of daily use, nothing was broken or torn so purchased the black and now grey. Numerous pockets inside and out so it's easy to sort things for quick access. The zipper pocket on the back is perfect for my passport,tickets and my phone. It has straps to wear it as a backpack, a shoulder strap and a sturdy loop at the top. Would highly recommend this.

#1 - I ordered this bag and didn't use it right away. One day I was in a hurry and wanted to change my stuff over to this bag. I realized that one of the zipper pulls was lost. Upon inspection, I noticed that the part the zipper pull attaches to, was spread way too wide open - allowing the pull to easy go on or off. No big deal, I'll just get a replacement.The bag seems nice, I love all the pockets and the side pockets can actually fit a bottle. I have 2 kids who are hooked on milk, so we are always taking small thermoses with us. This bag can hold both their cups plus loads of other things.#2 - I received the replacement bag and it was NOT the same bag! It was still brown but not the same brown (it's kind of hard to see in the pictures but the first bag was more of a distressed brown - the second was definitely not) the zipper pulls are not the same and the logo on the front is different (one is a metal logo and the second more of a stamped/in the leather logo. It also doesn't seem like it's quite as big. I know the picture makes it look MUCH smaller, but it's not as much of a size difference as it looks.I do like the first one better. I haven't decided if I'll send the second one back as well, and try for a third replacement, or if I'll purchase one from a different seller. Either way, it's pretty disappointing (and strange) that the second one does not look like the first or like the picture on Amazon. Maybe they just sent the wrong back to me? Will update if I get a third bag.
