Way better than I hoped
My review is based on my experience with this products performance and compared to other methods I have tried.I have used poison but I do not like the poison lying around with pets and children present. My puppy found a chunk of old poison in my basement and I saw it in her mouth, I got it out and immediately induced vomiting with hydrogen perixide. No harm to my dog, she must not have swallowed any. No more poison around as you can tend to forget about it or a mouse can move it out of normal view. So, on to regular mouse traps. They work ok but some are not sensitive enough and the mice just dine off the food that is put on it. The other issue, if it doesn't snap on the mouse it will just squirm in the trap until you remove it. I have also had some just drag the trap across the room.I have also tried electronis mouse traps. Ok but not a great success rate and the batteries along with the trap get expensive. So I tried these. My first night, I put a piece of a cheese puff in this trap. It disappeared, no mouse. Apparently the mouse was not heavy enough on 4 legs to trigger the trap, it was a small mouse, I had seen it before I set the trap. Next night I tried a piece of shredded cheese, nothing again but the cheese was gone. Third night, I smeared a bit of peanut butter on the top of the inside of the trap but the access door. figuring the mouse would need to be on 2 legs and possibly trigger the trap door a little easier. From this point I trapped 8 mice in 6 days and I did not know I had that many. We live on 10 acres so there are many field mice around. There was also an issue with my vinyl siding from the original builder of my house that allowed mice to get behind the siding, chew through styrofoam and make their way into the basement(walkout). So I am adressing that issue and mice at the same time.Like most men, I never read instructions for these traps because I would have to track down my reading glasses etc. So I am not sure what the instructions say, but so far I have only used 1 of the 4 traps and have been extremely happy. As it turns out I have had a great success rate with this trap and when I get a mouse, I simply walk it out a few hundred feet from my house where it can live out its days or deal with a cat or a hawk going after it. Being able to see through the trap is nice as well. Before I reset the trap, if it appears dirty I rinse it through with hot water with both ends open and let it dry. I also purchased more traditional traps at the same time as these but I dont think I will need to use them now. These are so easy to set and deal with, just remember to check them often if they are set. I have gone a few nights now with no mice and I have been referring these traps to friends as well if they have any mouse problems.

Having a heart, counts!
Was curious about these traps because after several episodes of having field mice getting in, I just couldn't do the snap traps. The snap traps are cheaper and you can choose to throw them away once said "bandits" are caught, but it's awful for me to see this and dispose of them.I got these traps hoping to have a better experience (for me mentally) because I have a heart. I was concerned on the function and use of plastic, but bought them anyway to try. Best experience ever!! They have great functionality, are easy to load with said snack for "bandits", set, and leave in a certain area. Within 10 minutes of setting, I had caught 3 field mice! See picture for result. Honestly don't care to have them in my house and was happy to travel a few miles away and drop off in a field. I never had to touch the mice and it was easy to do. I used wafer cookies and a smidge of peanut butter. Over the past few weeks, I have figured out where they are coming in and have fixed that problem, so I am not seeing these traps loaded anymore. Highly recommend these if you have a heart like me. You just need to remember to keep checking these traps frequently, since they will be alive and trapped with nowhere to go. I just bought a second and third set(4-pack) since they work so well to have on hand. They can be re-used, washed, and re-set. It comes with a cleaning tool. If you have pets (like cats), having these around aren't going to hurt them either! I had a cat find a snap trap and it snapped his paw, but he was able to get out of it with no injury. I don't want to risk kids or pets possibly getting snapped with those traps. These are seriously the best! Great spring action with no possible way to injure yourself! Try them, you won't be disappointed!

THESE ARE A MUST HAVE!!!!
I bought a pack of these for the mice coming up to my house from my field. I was very skeptical due to how cheap and simple they were. Let me tell you what, I have already caught 4 (update as of 48 hours, make that 8) I've included some photos !! I release them on a farm down the road because I'm not keen on killing animals of any kind. Not even 20 minutes after putting one of these out as a Tester, with some hazelnut butter in the food area, I caught one! I highly recommend these to everyone who has a little "Mickey" issue. They are very easy to set up, and release is very simple as well. I take them in, wash them well with dawn, and put them back out. I'm highly impressed! Great product, very affordable, well designed. I just can not rave enough!!! I'll be purchasing more packs for these soon for my seperate garage!!

Mice will chew tab making trap unusable.
Good concept - will catch mice. However if mouse not removed soon after caught it will possibly chew locking tab making trap unusable. Tab should be made of metal.

Easy to Use and Effective
These were easy to set up and very effective. We caught 2 mice in the first 45 minutes. Release was also simple, no risk of pinched fingers or coming into contact with the mice. Highly recommend as a humane way of trapping mice.

Easy to use but...
I don't know if I have smart rats or I set them up wrong but I've had these traps set up in rat high traffic area (based on droppings) for over a week nothing Ive changed bait twice and even hid them in McDonald's happy meal boxes with no luck based on the droppings he is stealing the food from the trap and sitting next to it and eating it ...I think I have 1 rat roaming my house with 3 kids and 2 dogs I needed something safe for the kids and dogs which this definitely is but effective not so much again it is my 1st time using a trap I used peanut butter and dry dog food (which is what he has been eating in my house)

works in one night
i have used this trap twice now and both times its caught the mouse in one night. note- the mice that get in my house have been very small not sure how well this would work for a large mouse/rat.

Fantástica Solución
Por el precio valen la pena las 6 trampas, atraparon al ratón la primer noche. Así lo pude soltar y no matar. Me parecen una solución muy humana. Las recomiendo

Effective and Quick-Acting Trap
Highly recommend this trap! I already caught two rodents, with the first one caught within just 3 hours. I used roasted almonds as the bait, and it worked perfectly.
