Extremely pleased with this device, but be forewarned that local dealers will not assemble it for you unless you buy it directly through them. A kind physical therapist attached it for my mother.

Works exactly as advertised.MUCH easier to install with two people.Most difficult part was getting the bars which contact the wheesl aligned and TIGHT. I mean TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT.The hold down i a bolt against a flat, which is an intelligent design -- but I had to keep readjusting the bar spacing and retightening the bolts for about 2 weeks.Not sure theadlock would have helped here -- I think the system needs to "seat" for a short time after assembly.Once it stabilizes, it's great

All wheel chairs should have this breaking system to avoid injury. It is easy to install, and fool proof to use.

The brakes do not work very well.
