Precision Reprap Prusa i3 DIY 3D Printer kit with 2kg Filament 8GB SD Card and LCD

All parts were there and the kit went together fine, even through the assembly directions were missing. Once dialed in the print quality bas been exceptional. The x-axis belt catch is marginal and broke when trying to tighten it. There are several upgrades that can be printed to solve this problem. Some of the linear bearings were bad and needed to be replaced. These are readily available on amazon so it was not a problem. The power supply works fine for PLA filaments but I need to upgrade it so that I could print some of the higher temperature filaments. The biggest problem I had was getting the printer and OS X to talk to each other. The latest version of OS X does not work well with the drivers supplied. The signed driver is needed. This can be found on the web along with instruction on how to install it. Once this was done prints were able to be sent from my workstation and not only by SD card. You get a kit so that you have fun building and modifying it. I did not expect perfect, but the kit exceeded by expectations. It already had most of the mod that I was looking for and left me with a few to have fun building. Its a good kit and am having fun building things.

I just got this unit, and I am really disappointed in the fact that the picture does not account for what you really get! There are no assembly instructions at all. There was no inventory of what you get. The power cord that was supplied was for England (UK) not the USA. I will not recommend this be rated better than 2 stars, because it is just a box of parts and that is all you get. YouTube videos are not at all out there for this unit and the ones that are, are for a much different model. I will have to see if I get any response from whoever as to assembly instructions, ect.

I'm still assembling this kit. So far everything seems in tact and in order. The instructions are almost non-existent with only a sheet having several links to videos of step by step assembly... however, only about half of these assembly videos actually work and take you to the corresponding directions for this printer. Overall... be prepared to tinker a lot and view many step by step videos from other "YouTubers" showing how to assemble similar kits with similar, but slightly different looking parts that all still act the same as what comes in this particular kit. There are a TON of these same kits out there. Shop around. This kit is good but the seller is lacking in customer service skills and shipping it out in a timely manor.
