This Vicks Flu Therapy (Severe Cold & Flu) comes in 9 packets.I opened a packet using scissors (note: there is even a symbol of scissors at the silver-color edge of the packet), as it's very difficult for me to open the packet by hand.This product comes in a white powder form. Once I poured it in a cup, and then poured in 8-ounce of hot water, and stirred it, a golden yellow color forms.note: the powder dissolves well as I stirred it in normal fashion; I did not have to stir vigorously.I enjoy the moderate lemon scent, as I sniffed the cup.As I drank it, it's a combination of strong honey & lemon flavor, with a citrusy (sic) aftertaste. It's a better taste than some of the other brands of severe cold & flu liquids I have taken in the past.note: When I need to use more of this product in the future, I'll use about 10-12 ounces of water so that the taste isn't as strong.The liquid feels soothing to my throat.The information on the front of the box indicates that this is a night-time product.Expiration date is located on the bottom of the box. Mine expires 4/2022.I find it useful for our family to have products such as this Vicks Flu Therapy, for the times when a family member comes down with the cold/flu.

I remember my mother always kept a jar of Vick's Vapor Rub handy when I was growing up, and used it on the family every time one of us got sick. I always found the Vick's ointment so soothing. That's why I was pleased to try this Vick's FluTherapy for nighttime cold and flu relief. It comes in a box with 9 packets. Dissolve one packet in 8 ounces of hot water and drink the entire amount in 10-15 minutes. The warning on the box says you should not exceed 6 doses per 24 hours. I prefer honey lemon tastes like this over the overpowering cherry medicine flavor that I often find with liquid over-the-counter cold relievers. Additionally, drinking these diluted VIck's packets also helps to ensure that I'm hydrating enough when I'm sick. The listed active ingredients include a pain reliever/fever reducer, antihistamine/cough suppressant, and nasal decongestant. Note that nasal decongestants are known to increase blood pressure. Additionally, this nighttime medication should be taken at night before bedtime as the antihistamine induces drowsiness in many people. As with any medication, be sure to read the information and warnings on the back of the box.
