A great alternative to soldering Canon Plugs
This is the fastest way to get this plug attached to a wire. I have been soldering Canon plugs onto cables for many years and anyone can learn how to do it. But larger guages of wire require higher skill levels to get it all to fit. This is a great alternative and I liked the quality. I recommend this product.

These work well for me
I have lots of electronic equipment (which means a lot of 12 volt power supplies). I use these to construct power cables from the equipment back to a central high-wattage 12 volt power supply.

Poor quality insulation
The wire insulation is "crumbly", as in when you try to separate the wires, it's not possible to get a clean split. Instead the split will be ragged and, if you're not careful, the split won't stay down the middle. The black wire is actually black print coating on red. (I believe this is a combination of material and manufacture technique. High quality insulated pairs are usually made as separate wires, with different color insulation for each wire, and then thermally welded together to form the pair. Low quality insulated pairs have the insulation cast in one step and then color differences are printed onto the cable.) The wire is plain stranded copper, only the exposed ends are tinned. The tinned ends are only 1/16" (1.5mm) long.
