May cook and keep warm for over 12 hours. But take times to close it, You need to balance the cover first before close the food jar.Anyway, if you no time to make breakfast, this food jar may do the job, you simply put whatever you want to cook (cut small ) in the stove for boiling than pour into preheat food jar, cover it and your breakfast is waiting for you. Save time and gas. I give 4 stars due to the material of the cover.

Inside lid is hard to screw closed, leaves possibility of leaking. Hard for my 8 year old to use for her lunch. Larger than expected.

Very good quality, did a perfect job, I use it as my camping crockpot, it has a folded spoon, very good for travel or office lunch, it's still warm when I eat my lunch, I love it very much!
