Great for Layer-1 security
I got lucky and found a warehouse deal for a 50 pack of these ($19.79, Used-Like New) - not sure if I would have paid the full $75 for a 50 pack. With that said, they get the job done and they do it well. They snap into place VERY securely and there is no removing these things unless you have the key. I have these on my home server rack to primarily keep dust out, they also don’t look half bad. Keeps everything uniform. I could see these being extremely useful in a business or school environment where you need to block those ports out for security reasons. Obviously you could just disable the port in software, but having that extra layer of security definitely doesn’t hurt. I’ve seen some bad reviews where people complain they can’t remove the blocker from the key… just pull it off of the key and you’re good to go. The keys are different for each color, which is also beneficial. Very happy with my set. I did go ahead and take the plunge for another 10-pack at the MSRP to get those last few ports blocked.

Simple to use access restricting accessory
Effective, easy and simple to use. Would have earned a 5 Star rating except - they only supply ONE KEY! It's a simple plastic part. Lose it or (More likely) break it and you're wasting time looking for needle-nose pliers to remove the Blocker. They should have packaged 8 plugs and two keys.

As long as you know this and purchase the correct pairs these are a good option. Keep in mind these are also designed ...
Used for a number of customers. Note - if you've never used these before the "colors" are not interchangeable - they are keyed differently. White port blockers require the white key, red requires the red key etc. As long as you know this and purchase the correct pairs these are a good option. Keep in mind these are also designed for permanent/semi-permanent install. Not designed for frequent insertion / removal.

Great Security Devices for Your Network
These RJ45 port blockers work great! If you are buying these for your network devices, make sure your IT team knows that keys are not necessarily interchangeable. Colors have different keys and other manufacturers have different keys.

Simple way to protect Ethernet jacks. Make sure you have extra keys, prolonged use wears out the key and some jacks take extra effort to get out. We use this to keep jacks free of debris, and to prevent customers from sitting down and plugging in. They won't stop someone who has malicious intent, but they do stop regular people who just want to use your network.

I bought 3 different colour packs to differentiate general distribution laptops that are the same model, but need to be stored in different areas of our school buildings. They are working really well. Now it's easy to see where laptops need to be returned by their colour code... Yellow... Grade 3 Green... Grade 4 Red... Design Lab Before the port locks we used stickers, but stickers would either fall off or get peeled off. The port locks are highly visible and practically fail-proof. All parties, myself included, are pleased with the purchase.

The key is flexible enough to reach and unlock hard to reach ethernet jacks (google wifi)

There is a hole in the bottom of the plastic back, sealed with the sticker with checkmark like a quality check. The content is only 8 plugs instead of the description and picture of 10 plugs. It seems officially taken out with a small hole from bottom of the packaging plastic and seal it with the Quality Assurance from the company. Nice trick.

A little expensive - but does the trick.

When you use the key to remove - it gets stuck. It's not intended to be a one time use plug - but essentially it is. I tried wiggling, jiggling, pliers, knife. It's just a poor design - especially for the price. Look elsewhere.
