I feel like I need to preface this review by saying that my dog (a 55 lb GSD mix) is very well-trained when it comes to food manners. She doesn't try to go for any food dropped on the floor, she waits calmly in a sit-stay when I get treats out, and I never have to remind her to take treats gently. Except for this turkey bacon. All thoughts of food manners flee her little dog brain when the turkey bacon comes out (and only the turkey bacon. She remembers her manners without being told when it comes to other treats). I don't know what they put in this stuff but my dog LOVES it. So does my mom's dog, who minds commands every once in a blue moon if the planets are aligned properly--except when offered this turkey bacon, and suddenly she listens to every command she knows (except "gentle"...feed her turkey bacon at your own risk). So yes, this stuff is absolutely dog approved. So approved I have to keep buying it in fear of a canine revolt should I stop supplying their turkey bacon. Do yourself a favor. Don't buy this for your dogs unless you're prepared to KEEP buying it.

My dog is sensitive to everything. I have personally witnessed the look of horror on people's faces when they sneak my dog a low-quality treat at the dog park without asking me first and then witness it come back up a moment later. So while yes, it does seem a little *extra* to get dog treats at WholeFoods, it's one of the few brands my dog can stomach. And they tear up easy, so I can get him to do a handful of tricks out of one strip. I will say, they do look a little funky. The first time we got these I thought they went bad. But it's just how they look.

My dog is so picky and I am picky about what to give him. I want to give him high quality food but of course he loves the junk his grandma has at her house. He loves these and I feel good about the ingredients.

Tried these for the first time and my chihuahua loves them. I like that they are healthy and flavorful. They were thicker than expected which is a real treat for him, and a great value for your money.
